Persona 5 Royal comparison

GameXplain has put together a new video comparison for the new Switch version of Persona 5 Royal, stacking it up against the PS4 release. This comes ahead of the launch on Nintendo’s console in just a few days.

Overall, any changes made to Persona 5 Royal on Switch seem to be minimal. In terms of content, you’re obviously getting the same exact content. Visual changes seem to be minor and appear to come down to saturation. Resolution on Switch also can’t reach the same heights as the PS4 version, though this was largely known to start with.

Persona 5 Royal SEGA

Atlus is finally delivering on what many fans have been asking for by bringing past Persona games to new platforms, including Persona 5 Royal. As it turns out, we can thank SEGA for the Switch port.

Atlus producer Shinji Yamamoto revealed in an interview of Famitsu that SEGA led the way on the project. Yamamoto mentioned how he “didn’t realize how hard it would be.”

Persona 3 Portable Persona 4 Golden Switch release date

Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden now have a release date on Switch. Both RPGs will debut for the system on January 23, 2023, Atlus announced today.

The news was shared on social media. Xbox and PC platforms were only included in the official image above, but Switch should be getting the games on the same day – just like Persona 5 Royal. Atlus’ tweet also mentions “modern platforms” rather than specifically calling out specific systems.

The annual Atlus survey is now live until May 15, inviting North American residents to share their opinion on Atlus developed and published games. Whilst the website states that the survey is for North American residents only it is accessible for everyone, and only requires an e-mail address to access to ensure multiple responses from the same person aren’t submitted, so fans in other parts of the world are able to participate if this wish.

Atlus have released a short video to promote the survey (see below) and you can access the website here. The survey contains 49 questions, and includes questions about titles released on the Switch, and what platform players would like to see future titles in series such as Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Etrian Odyssey appear on, as well as potential remakes and ports of existing titles such as Odin Sphere Leifthrasir and Dragon’s Crown Pro.

Will you be participating in the survey this year?
