Every now and then, Nintendo sends out some interesting information to Switch owners through the system’s news feature. Recently, the company revealed the most-played games on the console in 2018.

Perhaps it may not be much of a surprise, but Fortnite topped the list. Nintendo itself had many entries in the top ten alone with Zelda, Mario, Splatoon, and more.

New sales data is in from the UK for the month of December 2018.

Nintendo had a great month, as over 30% of all games sold were on the company’s platforms. Switch accounted for 29.5% of that figure. Nintendo was the UK’s biggest publisher of physical games in December and Nintendo-published games comprised 19.3% of all games sold. During the month, Switch was the second most-popular platform, following just behind PS4’s 39.7% share.

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for December 2018.

Smash Bros. Ultimate, the biggest release of the month, took the top spot as expected. Gris was another new title that made it into the top ten.
