It’s a double-dose of Zelda updates in this week’s Famitsu. Along with new details about Hyrule Warriors Legends, the magazine has presented more information about The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes.

In terms of the plot, there was a beautiful, fashionable Princess in a beloved, fashionable Kingdom. However, a witch curses the princess to wear tights that cover her completely and cannot be removed. The king then sought the “Legendary Hero” to defeat the witch in order to undo this spell.

Famitsu shares the following about some of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes’ characters:

There hasn’t been much said about Hyrule Warriors Legends since its first appearance at E3 2015 in June. But that all changed with the release of this week’s issue of Famitsu.

In Famitsu’s article, the big piece of news is the reveal of Toon Link. He has a sword-based, quick attacking style. While he’s small, he can send large groups of enemies flying. Toon Link can jump high or use the Deku Leaf to attack. He’s a very technical battle type. Naturally, Toon Link has different actions than regular Link. There’s a new hammer item which lets him smash the ground to shake all the surrounding enemies.

This week’s Famitsu scans are now available. Highlighted games include Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash, Hyrule Warriors Legends, Picross 3D 2, Project X Zone 2, SEGA 3D Reprint Archives 2, Star Fox Zero, and Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. Scans of each title can be found in the gallery below.

In this week’s issue of Famitsu, new characters are revealed for Project X Zone 2, including a somewhat surprising addition.

Segata Sanshiro will be featured in the title, according to leaks from the magazine. Back in the late ’90s, SEGA used Sanshiro to help promote the SEGA Saturn in Japan.

Segata Sanshiro will be in Project X Zone 2 as a solo unit. Captain Commando, June Lin Milliam from Star Gladiator, and Heihachi Mishima (Tekken) are also confirmed.

This week’s issue of Famitsu shares an update on Hyrule Warriors Legends. For the first time since E3, we have concrete information about the title.

Famitsu confirms that Toon Link will be playable in Hyrule Warriors Legends, but there’s a catch. The character won’t be available in Legend Mode, but he will be available in other modes. Of course, Toon Link can be moved over to the Wii U version as well.

Famitsu also reconfirms that Tetra and King of Hyrule for the game. Helmaroc King will appear in some form, too.

The latest issue of Famitsu contains a ton of details about Monster Hunter Stories. We shared information translated from the magazine earlier this week based on the article, but now we have details from the developer interview as well.

Development on Monster Hunter Stories began two years ago. However, it’s a project that’s been five to six years in the making, and it’s something that came about due to some fans wanting an RPG.

Monster Hunter has focused on strengthening the player character, but it’s about monsters. In this game, as there are plenty of people who like monsters, it is more of a sport to use them. The team took an approach to allow those who love the Monster Hunter world itself to experience it.

This week’s Famitsu scans are now available. Highlighted games include Ace Attorney 6, Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Airou Village DX, Monster Hunter Stories, and Monster Hunter X. Scans of each title can be found in the gallery below.

More Famitsu scans of Ace Attorney 6 leaked today, revealing new details about the game.

A new female character spotted in the first round of scans is featured prominently in multiple images, although there is no information about her identity yet. She appears to be objecting to a hastily-passed verdict.

Translations of multiple quotes from the scans are now also available:

– The theme is “courtroom revolution”
– You can turn off hints!
– Development on the game is 30% complete

What’s the theme and concept of Ace Attorney 6?

Takeshi Yamazaki, director: “Throughout the series, Phoenix Wright is in a place that lacks enemies. Because of that, we’re paying more attention to the world this time.”

Eshiro Motohide, producer: “It’s tough to develop within the Japanese courtroom, since an exhilarating part of the game is how situations can change from from desperate to complete turnabouts. The theme is ‘courtroom revolution.’ Phoenix Wright changing the system of the court is a major theme.”
