Atelier Ryza to have shareable player-created gathering points through Gathering Point Synthesis system

Following the recent announcement that Atelier Ryza would feature a “Gathering Point Synthesis” system, it has been confirmed that players will be able to share the gathering points they create with others.
After creating a gathering point, players will be able to share a four character password with other players in order to give them access.

Gust and Koei Tecmo updated the official Japanese website for Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout today. They added brief introductions, screenshots and artwork for three new chracters: Lila Decyrus, Kilo Shiness and Agatha Harmon (credit goes to Siliconera for the translation).
Lila Decyrus (voiced by Haruka Terui)
A female soldier who is shrouded in mystery. She arrives in Razenboden alongside Ampel. She’s an extremely skilled fighter and teaches Ryza and her friends the basics of combat. She’s calm and collected, but can come across as a little cold and blunt. It seems like her goal is to investigate some ruins with Ampel.

Koei Tecmo published a new trailer for Atelier Ryza today. This one features the game’s theme song, “Rainbow Summer”, performed by Sayaka Kanda.
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout will be released on Nintendo Switch on October 29 in North America and on November 1 in Europe.

Gust and Koei Tecmo have published a new OST sampler video that previews five tracks from the upcoming release of the game.
The OST is set to contain 60 music tracks and release in Japan on September 25th. According to Gematsu’s translation, the tracks are listed as the following:
- 0:00 to 0:47 – “Hito Natsu no Daibouken”
- 0:48 to 1:29 – “Shirogane no Onsayaka”
- 1:30 to 2:12 – “Suisai Iro ni Haneru Hibi”
- 2:13 to 2:55 – “Hatenaku Tsuzuku Michi”
- 2:56 to 3:48 – “Keichitsu, Kaname no Ashi”

Koei Tecmo and Gust announced today that they will be showing off live gameplay for Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout on July 9 at 9 PM JST during a livestream. Several key figures involved with the game will be present during this stream, including Ryza’s voice actress Yuri Noguchi, character designer Toridamono and the game’s producer, Junzou Hosoi.

Atelier sales on Switch catching up with PS4 in the west

Switch is really the first time that Koei Tecmo and Gust’s Atelier series has been prominent on a Nintendo console. Atelier Lydie & Suelle got things started, followed by the Atelier Arland trilogy, Atelier Lulua, and the upcoming Atelier Ryza. Despite the franchise not really being associated with Nintendo platforms until this generation, the IP seems to be gaining some traction on Switch.
In an interview with GamesBeat, Gust’s associate head of development Keisuke Kikuchi said that Switch sales are “catching up with the PS4 version due to constant growth”. However, Steam “dominates sales” in Asia. Japan is where Atelier sells the most on the whole. Kikuchi also mentioned in the interview that the console versions of Atelier “have almost had the same performance throughout the years, but the best-selling title overall would definitely be Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book.”
