Fall Guys Switch release date

The Switch version of Fall Guys finally has a release date on Switch, with Mediatonic today announcing that the game will be available on June 21, 2022. Cross-play and cross-progression will be fully supported across all platforms thanks to Epic Online Services.

Mediatonic announced the Switch version of Fall Guys in February 2021, and it was originally planned for that summer. It was then delayed indefinitely a couple of months later.

fall guys update

It’s been a year since Fall Guys was first announced for Switch. Though Mediatonic originally planned on having the game ready on Nintendo’s platform last summer, that didn’t come to pass. We ultimately heard a few months ago that the Switch version would be delayed to 2020.

We’re waiting on concrete news about the Switch version, but there is at least a positive sign. In one of its latest blog posts, Mediatonic said it it “finalizing development” and said “it’s still coming.”

At the end of April, Mediatonic delayed the Switch version of Fall Guys to an unspecified date. Some had hoped that we’d be seeing it land on the console along with Season 6, but unfortunately, that won’t be happening.

Mediatonic confirmed today that it will have more information to share in 2022 about the Switch version of Fall Guys. That means the delay will indeed stretch beyond this year. Mediatonic said that the Switch version is “one of our top priorities in active development”.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will not be making its original summer launch on Switch (and Xbox). Mediatonic announced a delay, and a new release window has not yet been provided.

The full statement reads:

Mediatonic, the developer behind Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, today announced that it has been acquired by Epic Games.

Epic tends to be centered around PC these days. Fortunately though, the recently-announced Switch version won’t be impacted. Mediatonic says it still intends to bring the title to Nintendo’s console.

Regarding the decision to team up with Epic, the developer explained:
