Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

Just like Monster Hunter Rise, Capcom is planning three new amiibo for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. We now have a look at how the actual designs are shaping up – see them above.

As a reminder, the new Monster Hunter Stories 2 amiibo are based on Ena, Razewing Ratha, and Tsukino. It’s also important to note that the figures will be exclusive to GameStop in the United States and EB Games in Canada.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin launches for Switch on July 9 worldwide.

Capcom announced Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin for Switch last September, but we haven’t seen anything of the game Switch. It finally reemerged during today’s Monster Hunter Digital Event.

A new trailer was released that shows a number of new elements, including co-op quests, amiibo, and more. It’s also now confirmed that Monster Hunter Stories 2 is launching on July 9.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 will also have a Deluxe Edition, pre-order bonus, and bonus with Monster Hunter Rise:

Capcom will soon be hosting the next Monster Hunter Digital Event, which will feature Monster Hunter Rise as well as Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. The broadcast begins at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe.

Capcom will hold three new live streams next month, the company has announced. It’ll all take place during the week of March 8.

2021 is looking like a big year for Monster Hunter. Along with Monster Hunter Rise, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin are heading to Switch.

Monster Hunter developers Ryozo Tsujimoto and Yasunori Ichinose recently shared a brief video message on social media. It’s now confirmed that more information about Monster Hunter Rise will be shared in January, which makes sense given that a demo will be released during the month and the game isn’t terribly far away.

Capcom has not one, but two Monster Hunter games for Switch. Along with Monster Hunter Rise, fans can also look forward to Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

Right now, the only way to play Monster Hunter Stories on a dedicated system is on 3DS. Some fans were hoping that Capcom might consider porting over the original title before playing the new entry. Unfortunately though, that won’t be happening.
