In the original Monster Hunter Stories on 3DS, players were able to customize the character they played as. Capcom has now confirmed that the feature will be returning in Monster Hunter Stories 2.

Although specifics weren’t shared, a slide shown during a TGS stream today gave an idea as to what fans can expect. It looks like you’ll be able customize hairstyles, hair colors, skin colors, and more.

This week on Nintendo Everything Podcast, two Nintendo Directs came out and they’re pretty fresh! Monster Hunter Rise and Stories 2 look so tempting, and so many other games have us looking forward to the future. Also, Mario 3D All-stars is apparently emulated, but…is that really a problem? Monster Hunter Rise

Capcom has shared an official announcement for both Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2. Details about the two titles are available, and it’s also confirmed that they’re only releasing on Switch.

Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2 were just announced for Switch today, but more news is coming soon. Capcom has confirmed that additional updates will be shared during TGS Online 2020. That also includes Capcom TGS Live 2020. Both of these events are planned for September 25 and September 26 respectively.

More Monster Hunter Rise launches for Switch on March 26, 2021. Monster Hunter Stories 2 follows in Summer 2021.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

Monster Hunter Stories, which started on 3DS, was a very different take on the series. It was more about turn-based battles, exploring the world, and advancing the story.

Capcom is now revisiting the concept with Monster Hunter Stories 2, which has just been announced for Switch. A release is planned for Summer 2021.
