Sophstar gameplay

New gameplay has come in for Sophstar, a vertical arcade shoot ’em up. Red Art Games and Banana Bytes just put the title on Switch a few days ago.

We have information about the game in the following overview:

Kraken Academy physical

Red Art Games, in partnership with Fellow Traveller and Happy Broccoli Games, announced today that it will be producing a physical version of Kraken Academy on Switch. Only a standard version will be available – no special editions are planned.

Kraken Academy first appeared on Switch back in March, though only as a digital title. Read more about the game below.

Sophstar

Publisher Red Art Games, along with developer Banana Bytes, have confirmed Sophstar for Switch. The vertical arcade shoot ’em up will make its digital debut on October 28, 2022 for $12.99 / €12.99.

Also planned are a couple of limited edition physical releases. On Switch, the standard edition will be limited to 2,900 copies and costs €29.99. A double-sided poster will be included in every box as a bonus.

Red Art Games is also selling an extremely limited €44.99 Sophstar Arcade Edition on Switch, and there’ll only be 99 copies available. Each units contains an exclusive poster inspired by Japanese arcade posters, measuring in at 120 x 80 cm (31.5 x 47.24”) and comes in a separate poster tube.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising physical

Red Art Games revealed today that it will be selling a physical version of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising on Switch.

Every copy comes with a set of three Eiyuden Chronicles trading cards. A soundtrack CD will also be available as a pre-order bonus. To obtain the CD, customers will have to purchase the game before its official release on January 26, 2023.

Publisher Red Art Games have announced that they will be distributing a physical edition of Demon Gaze Extra on Switch next year, on January 13. The game launched via the eShop on January 6. The version offered is the Day One Edition, and will come with a healing staff and armour gems to use in-game, as well as a reversible cover sleeve.

Here’s an overview of the game:

OmegaBot, which was originally planned to hit Switch today, has been delayed. Red Art Games has now set a new release date of January 20, 2023.

Regarding the delay, Red Art explained that the extra time will give the team “ample time to polish the console versions of the game.”

Nuclear Blaze

Red Art Games has announced that it’s teaming up with Deepnight Games, and as part of that, Nuclear Blaze will be appearing on Switch. A release is planned for 2023.

Nuclear Blaze was made by Sébastien Bénard, creator of Dead Cells. It’s a 2D firefighting game that kicks off as you investigate and look for survivors, though “the unexpected presence of an unknown military facility might somewhat affect your plans.”
