The Gecko Gods

Publisher Super Rare Games and developer Inresin are teaming up on their new game The Gecko Gods, both sides announced today. It will be out on Switch sometime in 2023.

The game has players exploring a mysterious island as a tiny gecko as they complete ancient puzzles, climb cliffs, and eat bugs while making their way across an island civilization lost to time. Further information can be found in the following overview:

Lone Ruin

Today, publisher Super Rare Games and developer Cuddle Monster Games announced that Lone Ruin is making its way to Switch. The title is on track to launch on January 12, 2023.

Lone Ruin is a spell-based roguelike twin-stick shooter that focuses on replayability. Read a bit more about it below.

Transiruby physical

Super Rare Games is teaming up with Flyhigh Works and Skipmore on a physical version of Transiruby on Switch, the company has announced.

4,000 copies will be made in total. Each unit comes with all the current content on its cart, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards.

Will You Snail? physical

Super Rare Games revealed today that it’s teaming up with Jonas Tyroller and No Gravity Games for a physical version of Will You Snail?, their fast precision-based action-platformer.

4,000 copies will be made in total. Each unit contains all the current content on its cart, a full-colour manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards.

Grapple Dog physical

Super Rare Games previously brought Grapple Dog to Switch as a digital title, but has now revealed that a physical release is in the cards. 5,000 copies will be available split across three different versions.

The standard version, limited to 3,000 copies, has all the current content on its cart, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards. There’ll also be 750 Steelbook Editions that include the game and a slipcover. Finally, fans can also choose to pick up a collector’s edition (1,250 units will be produced) which contains the original soundtrack CD, a sticker sheet, and a Pablo keyring.

The Touryst FAST RMX physical

Super Rare Games, in partnership with Shin’en, today announced plans to offer physical versions of The Touryst and FAST RMX on Switch.

Both will be limited to 6,000 units and will be available as standard and steelbook editions. All copies come with all the current content on their cart, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards.

Dicey Dungeons physical

Super Rare Games announced a partnership with Terry Cavanagh today for a physical version of Dicey Dungeons, a roguelike deckbuilder, on Switch.

5,000 units will be made in total. Each copy contains all the current content on its cart, including the Reunion DLC, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards. 

Super Rare Games has detailed its next physical release on Switch, with Necrobarista now getting the boxed treatment.

4,000 copies will be produced for the cinematic visual novel. Each copy comes with all the current content on its cart, with our release being the definitive Final Pour edition, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards.

A Short Hike physical

Super Rare Games is gearing up for a physical release of A Short Hike on Switch, the company announced today.

With the standard edition, buyers will receive all the current content on its cart, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an A5 pocket-style mini-map, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards. There’ll also be a collector’s edition featuring a 46-page retro style guidebook of Hawk Peak, four sticker sheets of the Flora and Fauna found on Hawk Peak, a poster-size retro style fold-out map of Hawk Peak, all held together by a Short Hike Belly Band plus a Claire pin badge, three postcards and the soundtrack composed by Mark Sparling. The standard edition will have 4,500 copies while the collector’s edition will be limited to 1,500 units.

Post Void delayed

Post Void has been delayed to September, according to publisher Super Rare Games and developer YCJY Games.

The title was first announced for Switch in February. In June, it was given a July 21 release date. We’re in August now, and Super Rare Games has provided an update about the situation. The company didn’t go into specifics, but said that the extra time is being used for polish and to “make it perfect”.
