The newest update for NBA 2K18 has arrived on Switch. We had originally found out about the patch a few weeks ago, though it’s now finally available for download.

This update once again makes a ton of improvements and changes across the board. We have the full patch notes below.

NBA 2K18 received its first discount on the Switch eShop today. In both North America and Europe, a 20 – 40 percent discount is in place.

Today’s sale also impacts all versions of the game. That means you can get the standard version, Legend Edition, or Legend Edition Gold at a discount.

Here’s the new price for all versions:

Yesterday, Take-Two Interactive reported its financial results. The company also held an earnings call with investors and others who are tied to the company.

Early on in the call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick commented on the performance on NBA 2K18. In terms of Switch specifically, Zelnick said: “we’re very pleased with the title’s performance on this new platform”.

Another major patch is coming soon to NBA 2K18. 2K and Visual Concepts are implementing a bunch of changes and improvements to various aspects of the game.

We have the full patch notes below. When the update is live, we’ll let you know.

The Switch version of NBA 2K18 was in the spotlight yesterday as the 2017 – 2018 NBA season kicked off. During the game between the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers as well as the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors, a Switch-specific commercial aired.

The ad itself isn’t anything too special. It takes a few seconds from the launch trailer mashed together with some Switch footage. Still, it’s noteworthy that the Switch version of NBA 2K18 is being advertised in this fashion.

Here’s a look at the commercial:
