Batman Arkham Trilogy frame rate resolution

Batman: Arkham Trilogy finally shipped on Switch last week, and a new analysis from Digital Foundry covering aspects like frame rate and resolution indicates that it didn’t launch in the best state.

Batman: Arkham Knight expectedly has the biggest issues on Nintendo’s console with much to be desired from performance. Unfortunately, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City aren’t perfect either.

Mortal Kombat 1 Quan Chi

Quan Chi will be added to Mortal Kombat 1 this month, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios just announced. Those with early access can get their hands on the character starting December 14. For everyone else, Quan Chi goes live on December 21.

That’s not the only bit of news. Also revealed is that Khameleon joins the kameo roster in January. A specific date was not provided.

Warner Bros. published Batman: Arkham City on Switch today, and we have a closer look with new gameplay. Footage is in for Asylum, City, and Knight.

Here’s an overview of the release, courtesy of the eShop description:

Batman Arkham Trilogy graphics comparison

A new video from GameXplain offers up a new graphics comparison for the Switch release Batman: Arkham Trilogy. Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight are all factored in here depending on the game.

Arkham Asylum and Arkham City were always going to be easier to port over as they originally launched on the PS3 and Xbox 360 (City was also on Wii U). However, Arkham Knight is a tougher one to convert given how it first appeared on the PS4 and Xbox One. We should get more details on the technical performance once more outlets are able to go hands-on.

Batman Arkham Trilogy The Batman Batsuit

We have a new gameplay trailer for Batman: Arkham Trilogy that provides a look at the titles on Switch as well as news about “The Batman” Batsuit.

Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight are showcased. As for “The Batman” Batsuit, while not a huge feature, it’ll be included for free and is being released on Switch before any other platform.

Hogwarts Legacy launch trailer

Original (11/13): A new launch trailer has come in for the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy. Interestingly enough, the video comes from Nintendo’s Japanese YouTube channel. We’ll update this post if an English equivalent is published.

Here’s some information about the game:

Hogwarts Legacy open world

Now that Hogwarts Legacy has launched on Switch, we’re learning more about changes made to the game – including the biggest one which involves the removal of the open world.

On other platforms, the title can be explored fully without loading screens. The Switch version is a different story, however. Visit the starting area of Hogsmeade and you’ll actually be greeted to a loading screen, so you’ll now be exploring interconnected areas instead. Additionally, each shop contains a loading screen of its own – again, this was seamless on other platforms.

Hogwarts Legacy gameplay

We finally have a proper look at the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy with several minutes of gameplay that surfaced just a few days before launch.

Even though we’ve known that the title would be on Nintendo’s console for about a year, Warner Bros. has shown almost nothing from the Switch version. Some screenshots were shared as part of the eShop listing and a trailer was published yesterday – though the latter didn’t show any sort of gameplay.
