It’s officially Star Wars Day, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is celebrating with a pair of new DLC packs. “The Mandalorian” Season 2 and “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” content is out now.

The Mandalorian Season 2 Character Pack features Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, Bo Katan, Fennec Shand, and Moff Gideon. As for Star Wars: The Bad Batch Character Pack, it includes Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, and Echo.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has already sold over 3.2 million units globally in its first two weeks, Warner Bros. Games revealed today. In doing so, it has surpassed all previous LEGO console game launches. The game exceeded sales records across every platform, region, and edition.

Those that own LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga can get their hands on more content this week thanks to the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the Classic Characters Pack. The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Character Pack includes Jyn Erso, Bodhi Rook, Cassian Andor, K-2SO, Chirrut Îmwe, Baze Malbu and Director Krennic. The Classic Characters Pack, meanwhile, features classic variants of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Darth Vader, and Lando Calrissian. These packs can be purchased individually or as part of the Character Collection (Season Pass), which contains all seven downloadable content packs with playable characters from across the Star Wars galaxy.

A new video for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga servers as a graphics comparison for multiple versions of the game. Switch, Steam Deck, PS4, and PS5 are included here.

We may get further details from an outlet such as Digital Foundry at a later date, but LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is estimated to run at a 720p resolution when docked and 576p in portable mode. Frame rate comes in at 30 FPS. Unsurprisingly, other platforms run at a higher resolution and / or frame rate depending on settings.

LEGO Star Wars Xenoblade

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga released on Switch this week, and Nintendo fans might be interested to know that the game has a pretty amazing Xenoblade Easter egg.

Adam Howden is the voice of Shulk, the star of the original Xenoblade Chronicles. Howden also ended up working on The Skywalker Saga and you can hear his voice by talking with the “Disco Director” NPC. Speak to him and the character will say, “Now THIS is a party! I’m really feeling it!”

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the newest installment in the long-running LEGO series. Recently as part of a press preview, I had the opportunity to watch more than 40 minutes of gameplay for the title ahead of its launch and I came away quite impressed.

The game appears to be a departure from the classic LEGO formula. New layers of complexity are added to the gameplay, making the whole experience feel more engaging and truly different from past games in the series.
