Ys X: Nordics new details shared

Following its official reveal last week, Falcom’s president, Toshihiro Kondo, has decided to share some new details on Ys X: Nordics. This new information comes to us through an interview shared in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine.
Some of the highlights include confirming this game’s nature as a prequel, discussing some of the new mechanics, the considerations made for the Switch userbase and even a promise to release new footage for the game early next year.

Ys X: Nordics revealed for Switch, new details and screenshots

Falcom had previously announced that the next installment in the Ys series would be making its way to Switch, and we now have a few more details on the title. The game is officially titled Ys X: Nordics, and will be releasing on Switch in Japan in 2023.
Ys X: Nordics is releasing to celebrate the series’ 35th anniversary. It’s set to expand gameplay in new directions for the franchise, such as by offering expanded control of multiple characters through a new “Cross Action” system or introducing sailing and naval battles as a core feature.
