Swapdoodle’s latest update has been issued. Nintendo has started distribution of version 1.1.3. According to the patch notes, “Adjustments have been made to make for a better gaming experience.”

Swapdoodle has allowed players to use Nintendo Badge Arcade badges within the software, with some exceptions – namely, Pokémon badges. As of a recent update, however, players can now use the Pokémon badges they earned in Nintendo Badge Arcade in Swapdoodle.

New content has arrived in the 3DS app Swapdoodle. Until October 31, the Halloween Moonlight Stationery can be downloaded for free.

The Shades of Purple Set is also available. It costs $1.99.

Assuming you have SpotPass enabled, you should be seeing a new message and the DLC.

Four new Swapdoodle rewards have been added to My Nintendo in Europe. The Nikki & Friends 3DS theme can be redeemed for 200 Platinum Points. There are also three DLC lessons for Swapdoodle that cost 30 Gold Points each: Super Mario Basic Lessons, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Nikki’s Simply Adorable Animals. They are available until November 1st.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is just a few days off. To remind folks about the big Switch title, Nintendo sent out a notice to Swapdoodle users and Mario Kart 7 players. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s art director specifically wrote the message. For the full thing, continue on below.

If you boot up SpotPass, you should see a message waiting for you from Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma. It was actually sent out on March 1, but it seems to have went mostly unnoticed.

In any case, here’s the full message:

“Hi, everyone! I’m Eiji Aonuma, producer of Nintendo’s Zelda series! The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild out on 3/3 (Fri). The largest ever Zelda adventure awaits you! There are also new Zelda doodle lessons available to purchase in the Lesson Store!”

A lesson set is out now in Swapdoodle so that you can learn how to draw the Switch. Footage of the new addition can be found below.

Swapdoodle is a fairly recent 3DS app from Nintendo that allows users to write messages and draw 3D pictures. A number of add-on packs are already available, but more are being added – including one for Switch.

At least in Japan, Nintendo will be offering lessons on how to draw Switch beginning on March 3. New Zelda packs for Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker were also added in today.

Here’s a look at the latest Swapdoodle video while we’re discussing the app:
