Update on 3DS Lite rumor

Posted on 12 years ago by (@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments

Yesterday we posted a rumor regarding the possible development of the 3DS Lite. There was talk that, through Nikkei Trendy, Nintendo was working on an upgrade to the 3DS.

After doing some digging, it doesn’t seem like there was a rumor at all. The statement published in Nikkei Trendy was more in line with speculation than anything else. Unlike rumors we’ve seen from them in the past, Nikkei didn’t have anything substantial to report. So it seems as though the 3DS Lite was a prediction, and that’s all.

Even though the Resident Evil: Revelations demo hasn’t hit the North America/European eShop yet, it was expect to arrive sooner or later. Capcom confirmed today that it is on the way, though the company wasn’t able to provide a concrete release date.

Capcom’s Christian Svensson posted the following on the Capcom-Unity boards:

“A RE: Revelations demo for NA and Europe is coming.

In the case of NA, we’re awaiting our date confirmation and code approval from NOA (we have a tentative from them, but I’ll have to keep you in suspense).

When we have something more concrete to share, you won’t be able to miss it on the Capcom-Unity blog.”

Resident Evil: Revelations launches in about a month. Therefore, the demo will most likely arrive within the next couple of weeks.
