First Kiki Trick details

Posted on 12 years ago by (@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments

A Japanese retailer has leaked some information on Nintendo’s next Wii game, Kiki Trick. The game was first announced during the “Nintendo Direct” presentation last month.

The following details are known thus far:

– “Kick Trick” is a pun as “kikitori” means listening comprehension; this is what the game is about
– Begins with the player hearing a marvelous voice in a noisy setting
– Hard to understand this voice because of the other noise
– Need to figure out what the voice is saying over the background noise such as people talking
– “Ear pro” mode: identify sounds in eight clamorous settings
– Four-player listening battle mode
– Listen to what the marvelous voice is saying in this mode
– Collect fifteen types of sound goods to listen to

Renegade Kid brought two original IPs to the DS: Dementium and Moon. Dementium even received a sequel last year.

While the studio hasn’t made any official announcements about releasing a new Dementium/Moon game for the 3DS, Jools Watsham would certainly love to do so.

He said on Twitter:

“… I would LOVE to develop Dementium/Moon for 3DS. Might have to create new IP to do it. :)”

Thanks to Jake for the tip!

The eighth volume of the Iwata Asks interviews featuring Zelda: Skyward Sword has gone live. This time, the speakers discuss the 25th Anniversary Symphony Concerts and then go on to talk about feedback received from debuggers. The information comes from Eiji Aonuma, Hidemaro Fujibayashi, and Satoru Iwata.

Best Buy has a deal in place for Metroid: Other M. It’s so good that I’d probably be a terrible person if I didn’t mention it here. The retailer is selling the game for just five bucks. Usually you don’t see Nintendo games out there for dirt cheap!

Sure, Other M received a mixed reaction. And obviously there were some people that were disappointed with the direction of the game. For just $5 though, I don’t see how any Wii owner could pass on this deal.

You can purchase Other M through Best Buy’s website here. It should also be available in stores.

If you live and Europe and have some interest in Mario Kart 7, perhaps you’ll consider pre-ordering the game. Those who do pre-order it will receive the lovely pouch in the photo above.

Nintendo’s notice regarding the pouch and the European Mario Kart 7 website can be found after the break.
