Unchained Blades will be getting a sequel, the latest issue of Famitsu has revealed.

Developer Furyu is making “UnchainBlades Exiv” (rough translation) for the 3DS and PSP, just like the original.

Nobuo Uematsu is composing the title’s theme song. Uematsu’s music group (music), Takashi Hino (scenario) and Toshio Akashi (event direction) are contributing to the project. Yusuke Kozaki, Suzuhito Yasuda, and Kei are involved with character designs.

UnchainBlades Exiv launches in Japan on October 18. The first game will be arriving in North America before the end of spring as a digital download.

Thanks to 4Him for the tip.

Medabots was one of the earlier games announced for the 3DS. Even so, we haven’t seen many details or any screenshots since its initial confirmation.

Surprisingly, the 3DS title is on track for a September 13 launch in Japan. This week’s issue of Famitsu states that two versions of Medabots 7 are on the way.

More details may leak out of the magazine sometime within the next few hours.

The next entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series has been announced in the latest issue of Famitsu. Usual magazine leaker Sinobi states that Atlus is readying an official site for the new 3DS title Shin Megami Tensei IV. It’ll be launching at megaten4.jp tomorrow.

Famitsu news generally leaks out over time, so this is just the initial announcement. We’ll be receiving details and scans soon, most likely.

Nintendo Power has released a public preview of this month’s magazine. Titles featured include Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, the Castlevania series in general, The Last Story, and an article about the best Wii games.

The issue arrives on newsstands on June 5 and has already started to reach subscribers.

*Note: The Mirror of Fate image was intentionally pixelated. I guess Nintendo Power didn’t want anyone seeing the article yet, which is odd considering all of the details are already out.
