Remember the Mario Drawing Song? Nintendo created the video last year to promote a Flipnote competition for Mario’s 25th anniversary.

We’ve now seen the song return, twelve months later, in a somewhat unexpected place. As you’ve probably guessed by this point, it does in fact pop up in Super Mario 3D Land!

Because this news is somewhat spoilerish (post-game content), I’ll include the full post after the break just to be safe.

Despite a listing on the official Spanish Nintendo website, the 3DS Ambassador Game Boy Advance titles are still coming this year. A Nintendo spokesperson clarified the situation, noting that the company “will make further announcements in due course.” The ten GBA titles will arrive on the eShop before the end of the month.

The spokesperson said:

“The forthcoming 10 GBA Virtual Console titles available for registrants of the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme, will be available before the end of December 2011. We will make further announcements in due course.”

At least we can rest easy knowing that the GBA titles will arrive sometime within the next thirty days!

Reggie Fils-Aime commented on a wide array of topics in a new interview with Techland. The Nintendo of America president briefly talked about the Wii U, how the DS remains important to the company, and more.

Fils-Aime also mentioned that the 3DS has surpassed sales of the original DS, and in a shorter timespan. The DS hit 2.37 million units in its first year while the 3DS already beat out that number in just eight months.
