What is the name for the 3DS Circle Pad attachment? We’ve been using quite a few names, though we haven’t actually received a confirmation that any of them are final.
If a new trademark from Nintendo is to be believed, the accesorry will be called the “Circle Pad Pro” in the West. While that name hasn’t been officially announced, it’s sounding like it’ll be the name used overseas.

Mario Kart 7 wheel incoming

Hori is preparing a 3DS wheel peripheral for the upcoming release of Mario Kart 7. A listing on Amazon states that it will provide users the feeling of using a real steering wheel. It comes with large L/R buttons and its form factor will offer a comfortable grip.
As of now, this is a Japan-only product. I wouldn’t be surprised if it made it to North America/Europe, however.
The “Mario Kart 7 Steering Wheel For Nintendo 3DS” launches in Japan on December 1 for 1,280 yen.

Zelda: Skyward Sword – 4 minutes of footage

The clips in the video above come from the latest Iwata Asks. We’ll have to wait a little while longer for the interview to be translated, though new footage is always welcome. This is actually our first real look at the Silent Realm in direct-feed. Also, in case you’re curious, I included the short Zelda NES clip just for the heck of it – it was included in the Iwata Asks discussion.
