Cosmos X2 Soars to Europe

Saturnine Games is bringing Cosmos X2 to Europe on the Nintendo DSiWare™ service on September 15, 2011. In Cosmos X2, players journey through space fending off an alien invasion in classic 16-bit inspired shoot ‘em up action.
Take control of the Cosmos X2 spacecraft as it travels through the solar system in search of the alien home world. Equip your ship with your choice of two alignments, each featuring a unique attack style and defensive shield. Arm yourself with the Repulsion Alignment for a spread attack with a wide range of fire and reflective shielding. The Attraction Alignment provides homing attacks and a shield that can regenerate energy by absorbing enemy attacks. The Power Alignment provides maximum strength weapons and a devastating explosive shield that damages nearby enemies. Switch between alignments at any time during battle, but use them wisely as each has its own health meter.
Cosmos X2 will be available in the Nintendo DSi™ Shop (available on the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL™ systems) for 200 Nintendo DSi Points™ as well as in the Nintendo eShop (available on the Nintendo 3DS™ system) for €2.00.

3DS Circle Pad accessory “was a great move”, says Activision
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
This information comes from Activision Publishing boss Eric Hirshberg…
“It does make the hardware more relevant and compatible to the style of games we make. I don’t have anything to announce in relation to that, but I think it was a great move and it opens up that platform to more styles of games.”
If anything, perhaps Activision will be more open to bringing certain types of titles to the 3DS once the Circle Pad accessory becomes available. I could definitely see the add-on benefiting a Call of Duty title, if n-Space or another studio were to make such a project for the handheld.

Nintendo isn’t the only company that saw their shares fall today. According to Reuters, Capcom lost 8.3 percent to 1,974 yen while Square Enix dropped 8.3 percent to 1,974 yen. If you ask me, people are watching shares and company earnings too much these days!

Customized Kirby Truck to Help Area Fans Attack Snack Time with Frozen Fruit Treats and Hands-On Video Game Demos
–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Nintendo:
WHAT:
To give hungry fans a fun way to attack snack time, Nintendo has something special in store for folks in New York City and beyond. On Sept. 14, a customized Kirby Snack Attack Truck will offer frozen fruit treats to fans around New York’s Rockefeller Plaza to help mark the launch of the new Kirby™ Mass Attack game for the Nintendo DS™ family of systems. While enjoying these tasty snacks, participants can enjoy hands-on demos of Kirby Mass Attack, in which gobbling up fruit allows players to accumulate a mass of up to 10 Kirbys at a time. In addition to Rockefeller Plaza, the truck will make a special stop at an area school. Other Kirby Snack Attack Trucks will be visiting the San Francisco Bay Area and the aptly named Upper Kirby neighborhood of Houston. The truck tour will culminate in a special visit to the GameStop store in Upper Kirby on Sept. 18.Launching across the United States on Sept. 19, Kirby Mass Attack is playable on the Nintendo DS family of hand-held game systems – which includes Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi™ and Nintendo DSi XL™ – as well as the Nintendo 3DS™ system. The game offers a fun twist for new and experienced Kirby fans. Unique touch-screen controls let players control up to 10 Kirbys at a time as they take down enemies and break through obstacles across five colorful, side-scrolling worlds. They can build up a mob of Kirbys by eating fruit, and as their swarm gets bigger and more powerful, they can access new areas and defeat tougher enemies.
