Attention Boston and Austin residents and visitors: Capcom will be at PAX East and South By Southwest (SXSW) for the first time and wants to see you there! From March 11-13 in either city, you can check out Capcom’s upcoming Nintendo DS and 3DS titles – Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D and Okamiden.

Exclusively for those in Boston, PAX East will be the first opportunity to purchase Chibiterasu plushies and pillows. Modeled after Okamiden’s adorable wolf god, these soft and cute limited edition items will be available for sale in the PAX East Capcom booth, only while supplies last. Nintendo has been teasing a new Mario game for the 3DS for quite some time now. Today, Satoru Iwata revealed that the team who has worked on the Super Mario Galaxy games are working on the handheld title. A logo was show with a peculiar tail attached. More information will be shared at E3.


Game Boy and Game Boy Color games won’t be the only retro games heading to the 3DS. Reggie’s Fils-Aime revealed a few moments ago that TurboGrafx-16 and Game Gear titles will be available for download. Also, as previously mentioned, classic games in 3D will be placed on the eShop.


Nintendo is pushing out 3DS Wi-Fi connectivity in May. Reggie Fils-Aime just revealed that over 10,000 AT&T hotspots will be available for 3DS owners to connect through for SpotPass data. Additionally, 3DS users can take advantage of Wi-Fi from restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops, and airports.


Satoru Iwata’s GDC keynote is underway, but another Nintendo employee is currently on stage – Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime. The Nintendo of America president just revealed that Netflix content will be provided for the 3DS. It’ll be available this summer. More details soon!
