Half of UK Wii owners have not played Wii in six months or more

Anyone who has talked to me knows that I’m a big advocate of the Wii. Sure, it’s a little underpowered and has a lot of shovelware, but frankly it has a massive library of undiscovered gems that no one seems to know about or care about. That’s why, to be honest, it’s not such a huge surprise that nearly half of Wii owners in the United Kingdom have not used their console in over six months.
The survey covered 1,672 people aged 18 or older, and while 64% said they owned a Wii console, 48% said they had not used it in at least six months. The reasons? Mostly due to lack of time, but other factors include the novelty wearing off and the movement to either PS Move or Microsoft’s Kinect.
Ouch.
‘Oh no!’ moment of the day: We Dare not coming to the UK

Ubisoft showed a trailer for their upcoming title ‘We Dare’ a couple weeks ago, and boy did it excite me. It looked like one of the goofiest, most entertaining games we’d seen since the release of the Virtual Boy, and I had already planned to buy it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t coming to America.
Well, now it’s apparently not coming to the United Kingdom either, despite coming to other European countries as planned. This is likely due to outrage from some newspapers and parents or other unimportant places that the game would be rated okay for ages 12 and up, despite being a bit racy.
Screw you, concerned parents!

Yep… this actually is Reggie Fils-Aime’s high school photo. He looks more or less the same as he does today – minus the glasses and change in hairstyle, of course!
