SEGA and High Voltage to deliver the most complete shooter on the Wii™

SAN FRANCISCO & LONDON (March 31st, 2010) – SEGA® of America, Inc. and SEGA® Europe Ltd. are excited to announce Conduit 2™, the new collaboration with High Voltage Software, Inc., developer of the award-winning Wii shooter, The Conduit. Conduit 2 will be released exclusively for the Wii™ system from Nintendo in Fall 2010.
Building upon the success of the original, Conduit 2 will take players to the far reaches of the world to stop an alien invasion that can be fought in single-player, online multi-player battles, and all-new off and online co-op modes. Armed with advanced and powerful weapons, players can expect massive action in large, multi-tiered levels featuring dynamic environments, cinematic battles, giant boss enemies, and deep customization features.

Conduit 2 introduces Team Invasion Mode, the new co-op mode where players will be able to battle side-by-side with up to four friends on the same screen. Additionally Team Invasion Mode can be played online.

Zangeki no Reginleiv is one title that I’ve never really thought had a chance to be localized. It’s violent, slightly obscure, and it just seems like a game that Nintendo wouldn’t bring over to North America or Europe. But perhaps there is a chance that it’ll be localized. Well, in Europe at least. Apparently a European Nintendo magazine claims that the game will be released this summer.Since we haven’t heard anything official from Nintendo, however, it’d be best to consider this a rumor for now.

SAN FRANCISCO – March 31, 2010 – Today Ubisoft announced that the worldwide hit video game Just Dance , which launched in mid-November 2009, has sold through more than two million units worldwide, becoming the fastest-selling new intellectual property from a third-party publisher on Wii™. Developed by Ubisoft Paris, Just Dance is the first real music video game in which up to four people can break it down at a time, as they follow on-screen choreographed moves set to classic dance tracks, entertaining spectators along the way. Just Dance features an incredible track list with more than 30 famous tunes from the ’60s to today, including songs by Katy Perry, MC Hammer and the Spice Girls.

Just Dance has consistently danced into the top of the video game charts in recent months, spending time in the top ten in most European and North American territories. According to NPD data, Just Dance is the best-selling music/rhythm game for Wii™ in the U.S. from December 2009 through February 2010, and is on track to maintain its sales momentum for the month of March 2010. The title hit No. 1 and remained there for several weeks in the very competitive U.K. market, beating well-established hardcore video game franchises.

This is a response from a Nintendo customer service representative regarding Golden Sun DS…

Hm…I’m not too sure about this. We don’t know what the original email said and that could have influenced the response. That said, stranger things have happened. And we all know that Twilight Princess ended up on the GameCube and Wii. So, you never know! We’ll just have to wait until E3 to hear new information about Golden Sun DS.

Thanks to 357 Lobster for the news tip!
