Fatal Frame Maiden of Black Water trailer

Koei Tecmo has readied a launch trailer for the Switch version of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water. The game, an updated version of the Wii U original, is out now.

American Hero Switch

Ziggurat Interactive is bringing back the unfinished Atari Jaguar CD title American Hero for release on Switch, the company announced today.

American Hero was originally being developed in the ’90s and was thought to have been lost to time. However, Ziggurat Interactive and developer Empty Clip Studios have now brought the project back and will have it ready to go next month.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Temple of Osiris Switch

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light as well as Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris are both coming to Switch, Square Enix just announced. The company is teaming up with Feral Interactive, the studio that previously brought GRID Autosport and Alien: Isolation to the console.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light initially released in 2010. Then in 2014, Crystal Dynamics made Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. These games mark the debut of the Tomb Raider franchise on Switch.

Digimon Survive 2022

Bandai Namco has made it official that Digimon Survive has been delayed to 2022.

This was more or less expected given how there are only a couple of months left in the year. We also heard about the game being delayed back in July stemming from a report in Toei Animation’s financial report.

Here’s a message from producer Habu Kazumasa about Digimon Survive being moved to 2022:

Publisher Modus Games and developer We Create Stuff have shared a release date update on the Switch version of In Sound Mind, their psychological thriller. We now have confirmation that the game has been delayed to 2022 “to ensure maximum psychological unrest upon launch.”

Mario Party Superstars reviews

Initial reviews are now starting to come in for Mario Party Superstars as Nintendo has lifted the embargo, and we’ve rounded up the initial verdicts. This comes ahead of the game’s launch tomorrow.

It hasn’t taken long from announcement to release, as Mario Party Superstars was just announced at E3 2021 in June and is now available. The game features 100 mini games collected from other entries in the series, much like Mario Party: The Top 100 on 3DS. Five boards have also been remade from the N64 era. The title is a strategic battle experience poised to deliver action both on the battlefield and in the war room, as players vie for control of ancient China.

Thunderful World

Thunderful Games is planning a new “Thunderful World” digital showcase, the company announced today. The event will be held on November 10 at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM in the UK / 8 PM in Europe. Hollywood and pop culture icon Mark Hamill will host the proceedings.

Thunderful says that the showcase will feature “a ton of exciting new game reveals and announcements”. Confirmed games include Firegirl, Cursed to Golf, Source of Madness, Tinkertown, White Shadows, Planet of Lana, and The Gunk.
