Doom and Doom II for Switch get Arrival add-on

New content is now available for the Switch versions of Doom and Doom II, as both titles have received the Arrival add-on. Players can initiate the download on the main menu.
Arrival acts as an 11-level episode replacement pack. It was made by Pavera and features music by Doom community alum AD_79. Collaborated elements with other notable names in the modding scene are also included.

Original (4/11): The latest UK software sales are in, and there’s good news for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
The new game is actually the second-biggest boxed launch of the year. Only Pokemon Legends: Arceus has done better. As a result, the title sold more physical copies upon release than other heavy hitters like Elden Ring and Gran Turismo 7. However, one aspect to keep in mind is that LEGO Star Wars dropped on a Tuesday rather than a Friday, resulting in extra time for sales.

Publisher 505 Games, Rabbit & Bear Studios, and developer Natsume Atari today unveiled a final release date for Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, the fast-paced 2.5D action RPG with town-upgrading elements. Nintendo and Koei Tecmo have just issued a new Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes trailer, which is titled “Mysterious Mercenary”.
In the video, we’re able to get a look at Shez who meets Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, and other characters while fighting for the future of Fódlan. The game has players aligning with a leader to build and command an army in 1 vs. 1,000-style battles and deep strategy. Depending on the house chosen, a different story will be presented with a different outcome. There’ll be three stories in total.

Witch on the Holy Night to support English on Switch

Publisher Aniplex and developer Type-Moon have provided an update on Witch on the Holy Night, confirming that English text will be fully supported. Other available languages include Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
For those that missed our coverage a few months ago, Witch on the Holy Night for Switch is based on the 2012 PC original. Full voice acting and proper HD visuals are planned.

Nintendo acquires land for new development center

Nintendo has announced the acquisition of Kyoto-city owned land, which will be used as a new development center. The tentative name is “Corporate Headquarters Development Center, Building No. 2”.
Nintendo notes that the move was made as it “will carry an important role on reinforcing its R&D.” However, it is not expected to be completed until December 2027.
