Luna-3X release date

It’s been a long time coming, but Luna-3X just received a release date. Red Art Games and Pygmy Studio just sent out word that the game is hitting Switch on September 26, 2024.

Luna-3X was first made known for Switch way back in 2017. It’s a rhythm action game that takes place in a world where only seven days remain until judgment day, and it’s up to you to save all of the critters before it’s too late.

Death end re;Quest Code Z

July 6: Today, Idea Factory revealed that Death end re;Quest: Code Z is receiving an English release on Switch in the west. It will be available in 2025.

Death end re;Quest: Code Z was originally announced for Japan. In that region, it’s arriving this September.

koROBO

Today, former staff from Skip – the company known for its work on Chibi-Robo – unveiled its new development team Tiny Wonder Studio and announced koROBO as its first project. The game is targeting PC as well as “modern consoles” – so we’re hoping that includes Switch and / or its successor.

Tiny Wonder Studio employees key members that worked at Skip and other veterans in the industry. The lineup includes original Chibi-Robo director Kenichi Nishi (who’s also co-directing KoROBO), Keita Eto (directed previous Chibi-Robo titles and is co-director here), third co-director Hiroshi Moriyama, producer Hisashi Koshimizu, and character designer Hikarin.

Divine Dynamo Flamefrit

As part of BitSummit Drift, Inti Creates revealed Divine Dynamo Flamefrit for Switch. The title is slated for Winter 2024.

Divine Dynamo Flamefrit is a 2D action homage to games and anime from the 90s. The project was actually previously teased as an April Fools’ joke, but is in full production.

Hashire Hebereke: EX

Today, Sunsoft announced that it’s teaming up with Gravity Game Arise on Hashire Hebereke: EX. The game, which is developed by CRT Games, arrives on Switch in 2025.

Hashire Hebereke: EX is a remake of the 1994 Super Famicom title. This is a racer featuring various characters and tracks. For the remake, the game will add a time attack mode, new characters, and new stages. Support will also be available for online multiplayer with up to four players. As of now no further details are available, and we’re waiting on a trailer which should come at a later date.

Hashire Hebereke never left Japan, but it seems that the new EX version will be launching worldwide. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more about the release in the months to come.

Forestrike

Publisher Devolver Digital, along with Olija developer Skeleton Crew Studio, just announced Forestrike. The game is now in development for Switch.

Forestrike is a tactical kung fu game, but as an extra feature, there’s a supernatural twist. Players will use a foresight ability to visualize fights before they happen and hone their skills then battle in reality. If you lose, you’ll start over – albeit with permanent progress.

SCHiM trailer

SCHiM just saw its debut, and in celebration of the launch, a trailer has come in. The new platformer comes from developer Extra Nice.

Landnama

Pineapple Works, along with Sonderland, today announced that they’re bringing Landnama to Switch. The game will be available on August 1, 2024.

Landnama is a roguelite survival base builder. Players will face the judgment of winter’s deadly toll while leading the first Viking clans to settle Iceland.

Joy-Con Charging Stand (two-way)

July 17: Nintendo just announced that it will be shipping a new Switch Joy-Con charging stand in Japan towards the end of the year. It will be available on October 17, 2024.

The stand supports charging in two different ways. You can either prop up the controllers on the stand or remove the stand and lay them down. Essentially, the product lets users charge their controllers without needing them to be directly attached to the Switch unit.
