Nintendo has secured a major win in the UK against Switch game piracy. Thanks to a new injunction, Sky, BT, EE, Talktalk, and Virgin Media will now be forced to “block, or at least impede access” websites that help distribute pirated games, modified hardware, or provide information on how to mod consoles related to piracy.
The Switch hardware itself initially opened the doors to custom firmware. While this loophole has since been closed, Nintendo said that people are still attempting to hack the console’s current system software.

Update your Joy-Con with Switch version 9.0.0
Posted on 5 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
When Nintendo distributes a major firmware upgrade for Switch, it’s usually accompanied by a Joy-Con update. That is once again the case for version 9.0.0.
You can update your Joy-Con by visiting system settings. Then scroll down to “Controllers and Sensors”, and navigate to “Update Controllers”. The process shouldn’t take more than a few seconds.
Nintendo never actually says what’s included in the controller updates. Still, it doesn’t hurt to carry out the process.
Thanks to Cameron and Bernardo for the tip.
