Nintendo has started the pre-load option for Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey. By taking advantage of this, you can purchase and download most of the required data ahead of launch. It’ll essentially allow digital owners to begin playing as soon as the game is released.
Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey takes up 5,349 blocks of space. That amounts to 668.625MB.

Gurumin 3D themes are now free for a limited time

Head on over to the Theme Shop to pick up the Gurumin Monster Bundle at no extra cost, which features Gurumin Heroes, Gurumin Monster Pals, Gurumin Night Paradise, and Gurumin Orange Twist.

Six-creature Trainer Battles were considered for Pokemon GO

Pokemon GO finally introduced the much-awaited Trainer Battles this month. Players can now go up against others directly by making a Battle Party from their collection.
As many fans know, the mainline Pokemon games let players battle with six creatures. Pokemon GO, on the other hand, limits things at three. Designer Matt Ein has said that the team considered using six, but ultimately made things much longer than were necessary.

Fire Emblem Heroes hosting Summoning Focus: Heroes with Fortress Skills

The latest summoning event is live in Fire Emblem Heroes. A trio of Heroes with Fortress skills, which trade attack in favor of increased defense, are available as part of the 5-star summoning focus.
This will be live until January 6. For new summoning events, you won’t have to use Orbs the first time you summon.

Kirby Star Allies director shares secrets from the last update

Kirby Star Allies was recently given its third and final update. In a news post this week, director Shinya Kumazaki shared a few secrets implemented that players may not be aware of. Kumazaki also goes over some impressive statistics concerning the amount of content that has been added over the past few months.

Gorons were originally going to look “drastically” different in Zelda: Breath of the Wild

When The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was early on in development, Nintendo had some very different ideas in mind for the design of the Gorons. Lead NPC artist Hirohito Shinoda revealed in the recently-translated Creating a Champion art book that the team was planning a drastic change in which they had bigger heads, a more human-like appearance, and more. However, “none of them really fit.” This led to basing the Gorons on their original design from Ocarina of Time.
