In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for September 2023.

Fae Farm has been a popular Switch title, and that translates with it taking the top spot. Trombone Champ, a new release from the most recent Nintendo Direct, debuts at #12.

A Tiny Sticker Tale launch trailer

Courtesy of Ogre Pixel, we have a new launch trailer for A Tiny Sticker Tale. The game, a cozy miniature adventure where stickers solve puzzles, comes to Switch today.

Detective Pikachu Returns reviews

Detective Pikachu Returns will be here in just a couple of days, and reviews for the game are now starting to drop.

The new Switch title will be launching more than four years after it was first teased. After initially announcing the project in 2019, The Pokemon Company had nothing to say about it until the game finally surfaced during a Nintendo Direct this past June.

Gungrave Gore Switch improvements

Gungrave G.O.R.E Ultimate Enhanced Edition is starting to roll out on Switch today with a surprise European launch, and details have been shared about what’s been improved for the version on Nintendo’s console.

The game can be purchased now in PAL regions via the eShop. As for North America, the release date is set for October 18.

Spells & Secrets release date

Today, publisher Merge Games and developer Alchemist Interactive unveiled the final release date for Spells & Secrets. The title is reaching Switch on November 9, 2023.

As a reminder, Spells & Secrets is a wizarding school rogue-like. The action adventure game has players attending the Academy of Greifenstein where a mysterious incident releases wild creatures and an ever-changing chaos to reign over the school. Players will look to restore order as they solve puzzles, find powerful artifacts, and develop their powers.

Hitman Blood Money Reprisal

IO Interactive and Feral Interactive will release Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal on Switch, the two companies revealed today. Players on Nintendo’s console can expect the game this winter.

Hitman: Blood Money, a stealth game, first debuted in 2006. This marks the first time it will be made available on a Nintendo platform.

Wii U 3DS online shutdown

Nintendo has announced the end of online support for 3DS and Wii U, with both platforms going offline in early April 2024. An exact date was not provided.

This is another nail in the coffin for both platforms following the closure of the eShops. Back in March, the 3DS and Wii U stores ended purchases and downloads of content such as demos.


Synergia NextGen Edition Sunrise

Original (9/25): Synergia originally appeared on Switch in February 2021, but it’s returning with an entirely new NextGen Edition. It will launch on October 3, 2023.

This version of the game is highlighted by the addition of a Sunrise expansion. It also comes with new in-game content never before seen, including a 56-page original artbook, in-game comic reader, music listening room, and more.

Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island

Original (9/22): Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island will be seeing an English release in the west, a retailer listing from VGP reveals. The game is listed with a February 27, 2024 release date.

Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island was recently announced for Switch in Japan as Shinen the Wanderer 6. No news was shared at the time about a western launch, however. It now appears that Spike Chunsoft will have the title ready to go for early 2024.

Bilkins' Folly launch trailer

We saw Bilkins’ Folly on Switch this week, and the launch is being promoted with a new trailer from Armor Games Studios. Switch owners can now get their hands on the narrative adventure game.
