Two Tribes isn’t done with Toki Tori 2. The studio is still working on the level editor, for instance.

But what lies ahead for Two Tribes? According to Martijn Reuvers, the team will be bringing its “vintage titles” to the Wii U – that includes Toki Tori, EDGE, and RUSH. Two Tribes is also considering EDGE for 3DS, which would be brought over by a separate developer.

“Apart from Toki Tori 2, we’re also planning on bringing our vintage titles, Toki Tori, EDGE and RUSH to the Wii U as well. And we’re in the talks with another developer to bring EDGE to the 3DS as well. But nothing is solid at this point.”

Assassin’s Creed III has managed to ship 12.5 million units thus far. The next entry in the series, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, may not achieve similar sales. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot made note of the company’s lower expectations for the title during an investor call earlier today:

“To come back to Assassin’s Creed IV, in our numbers we have…we expect less than last year.”

Ubisoft may be anticipating lower sales for Assassin’s Creed IV, but the publisher believes in its potential. The pirate setting could be a more relatable setting compared to Assassin’s Creed III’s American Revolutionary War setting from a worldwide perspective.

“We are actually pushing to achieve more than last year because we think the pirate segment is a great segment that can generate a lot more on a worldwide basis than what was achieved last year. But we wanted to be prudent on our expectations so that it can probably be a bonus if it comes.”

Ubisoft feels that it isn’t releasing games fast enough. To address this, the company will use its 26 different studios and more than 7,000 developers to output entries in its popular franchises at a faster pace.

During a financial conference call yesterday, CEO Yves Guillemot said:

“We believe that our major production capacity, strong of a network of 26 international studios and over 7,000 developers, now optimized with our lead and associate organization, will allow us to come with an enhanced pipeline of increasingly high quality franchises and new IPs. We will be able to release our franchises more and more regularly, providing solid visibility on our future revenue and profitability streams. All that, combined with the online expertise and know-how that we have been growing steadily internally make us believe that we will benefit disproportionately from the arrival of the new generation and from the continued growth of the online market.”

Ubisoft already releases Assassin’s Creed games on a regular basis. Could we eventually see a time where franchises such as Watch_Dogs each year as well? That’d probably be overkill.

Capcom updated the Japanese Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies website today with new screenshots and details. We get a first look at Miles Edgeworth and Trucy in the game, as well as more information about how the story unfolds.

You can find the latest on Dual Destinies below.

Story/general

– Edgeworth is slightly older and wears glasses
– Apollo had been called in to work by the Wright Anything Agency
– Trucy is waiting for him
– The two meet up and reacquaint by talking about Apollo’s thoughts on his long absence from the legal world
– Both then visit a place called Kyubi Village, where a case is waiting to unfold
– Kyubi village is a festive place
– Youkai (Japanese folklore monsters) are immensely popular
– “Youkai Alley” is a part of the village that is livelier than any other area
– The two are looking to go to a mansion in Kyubi village
– Huge village party will be held there
– Trucy’s friend, Yumemi Tenma, invited her
– Yumemi works as a maid at the mansion
– Upon seeing Apollo for the first time, the strange girl mistakes him for a demon
– Once they meet up for the party, their conversation is interrupted by someone in a black youkai suit
– Not long until a hero-like character, who goes by the name of “Great Kyubi,” comes to the rescue, in a strange turn of events
– Murder incident is discovered in the mansion
– Authorities find the body of the village chief and the mayor of Tenma City
– The mayor is Yumemi’s father and is found incapacitated at the scene of the crime
– It’s said that Tenma had a motive to kill the village chief, as he’s been recently trying to merge the village into his city
– He’s considered the prime suspect and promptly arrested
– Yumemi claims to have seen the murderer herself—the legendary “Tenmataro”
– Kyubi legend has it that a long time ago, a youkai named Tenmataro terrorized the village
– After the Kyubi appeared and defeated the yokai, it was sealed away
– This would explain why the religious Kyubi villagers seem to harbour a deep fear of this youkai
– Apollo is around to help solve the case
– Many people will testify in court
– They all seem either strange or suspicious in their own ways, making the case harder on Apollo

Miles Edgeworth

– Miles Edgeworth is back
– Top prosecutor and aims to climb even higher
– Phoenix’s rival
– Shares a different perspective
– Both men pursue the truth in court
– It has yet to be revealed as to what he’s up to in Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies
