Coda Games looking to become Wii U dev, interested in bringing Liege to Nintendo’s console

Coda Games has reached out to Nintendo in hopes of becoming a Wii U developer. Owner John Rhee told us that Nintendo of America’s Dan Adelman guided him through the application process, and he’s hoping to hear back from the Big N soon.
Some of you may be aware that Coda Games created a Kickstarter for Liege, “a party-based, tactical role-playing game”. PS4 and PS Vita versions were just added in as stretch goals yesterday, and the Wii U could soon head down the same path.
According to Rhee, he’d “love” to release Liege on Wii U, mainly due to the fact that SNES titles such as Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger sparked his interest in RPGs. If he becomes a Wii U dev before the Kickstarter ends, the console will “absolutely” become a part of the campaign as a stretch goal.
And just in case you were wondering: Rhee also said that there aren’t any plans for a 3DS version “at this stage”.

3D Galaxy Force II hitting the Japanese 3DS eShop next week

SEGA has officially confirmed Galaxy Force II, first hinted at for the Japanese 3DS eShop last month.
Along with 3D visuals, the game includes various settings. Players can customize the difficulty, button configuration, screen size, and more. There’s even support for the Circle Pad Pro.
3D Galaxy Force II will be available on July 24 for 800 yen.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV, Galaga heading to the Japanese Wii U eShop next week

Two more classic games are lined up for the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console next week. Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV (Super Famicom), priced at 1,000 yen, will be out on July 24. So too will be Galaga (Famicom), priced at 500 yen.
