The official Pokemon X/Y strategy guide has gone up on Amazon, and it mentions some rather interesting things.

Included in the item description is something called “Super Training”. This brand new feature has yet to be officially announced by Nintendo or the Pokemon Company. While it’s unclear what it will offer, we do know that the developers will be offering the Super Training functionality in the 3DS games.

Also confirmed are the return of TMs, HMs and the Hall of Fame.

Nintendo has been unsuccessful in its efforts to obtain the WiiU.com domain.

A few months ago, Nintendo of America filed a cybersquatting complaint against the website’s owner with the World Intellectual Property Organization. However, the domain won’t be going anywhere after a ruling – reached yesterday – did not go in the company’s favor.

If Nintendo still hopes to acquire WiiU.com, it will need to negotiate with its original owner and likely pay a large sum of money.

All major retailers are now taking pre-orders for Super Mario 3D World. You can reserve the game at Amazon, Best Buy, or GameStop.

Super Mario 3D World will be released in North America in December.

Update 2 (6/30): Animal Crossing: New Leaf down to $24.15 (ships in 2-3 weeks), Professor Layton and The Miracle Mask for $25.27, and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy for $17.99.

Update: Animal Crossing: New Leaf is now down to $26.59 (thanks pie!).

There are a few more 3DS discounts on Amazon worth mentioning. There aren’t any tremendous savings, but games such as Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and Mario Kart 7 are available for almost $10 off.

In collaboration with Nintendo, Rare worked on a number of Donkey Kong games, including Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong 64. It’s perhaps due to the studio’s strong involvement with the series that a Microsoft executive thought that the company owned the IP following its acquisition of Rare.

Former Rare staffer and Conker’s Bad Fur Day director Chris Seavor revealed on Twitter:

Donkey Kong was one of Nintendo’s first franchises, so it’s kind of hard to believe how out of the loop this Microsoft executive was!
