Toki Tori 2 developer Two Tribes has some interest in working on Nintendo’s legendary Star Fox series. Taking things further, studio co-founder Collin van Ginkel told Nintendo Chronicle that the studio “could make a damn fine Star Fox game for Wii U.”

van Ginkel said:

“I think we could make a damn fine Star fox game for Wii U. Yes, a classic Star fox game would be awesome to work on.”

Nintendo has been more open to letting other studios touch their IPs over the past few years… while I don’t think it’s likely that Two Tribes would ever work on a Star Fox project, you never know!

We’ve been waiting for news concerning Straight Right’s next Wii U project for a long time. The one tidbit that has leaked out thus far suggests that the studio is working on a AAA port for the console.

So when will we finally hear something about the new game? Straight Right CEO Tom Crago said in a recent interview that it will have something to talk about “very soon”, adding: “I don’t think it will disappoint.”

“We can’t talk about what we’re working on right now, but should be in a position to do so very soon. I don’t think it will disappoint.”

A World of Keflings originally launched on Xbox Live Arcade and just came out for Windows 8 today. Later this year, the game will also be released on Wii U.

NinjaBee plans to upgrade Kefling’s visuals on Wii U. The GamePad will also provide “new ways to interact with the game and its characters.”

According to art director AccoridBrent Fox:

“With the current generation of consoles coming to an end, we saw opportunities to bring what is perhaps our studio’s most well-loved game to many, many more players. With that said, we’re proud to announce that in addition to today’s release on Windows 8, A World of Keflings will be coming to the Wii U later this year.”

“Both of these new platforms offered us huge advantages and were ideal marketplaces for a light-hearted city-builder. Windows 8 gave us the chance to make the game mobile and add in very smooth, natural touch controls. The Wii U has allowed us to significantly enhance the game’s visuals and, with the Wii U GamePad, explore new ways to interact with the game and its characters.”
