Team Ninja will have a new project to announce at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. The studio teased a title reveal on its Twitter account earlier today.

Not much was specifically said about the announcement. Team Ninja was only able to mention that the game will be released for consoles. So no, this isn’t a mobile title!

Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski has a fairly positive outlook on Nintendo’s new console. He told Reddit users last week that he’ll be “watching the Wii U closely”, and while he believes that the Big N “may have initially lost a little of their core with the Wii for a bit”, he thinks “they seem to have realized this.”

Below is Bleszinski’s response in full:

“Being raised on All Things Nintendo I will always I love all things Nintendo. I’ll be watching the Wii U closely. I think Nintendo may have initially lost a little of their core with the Wii for a bit, honestly, and they seem to have realized this. I believe they also recognize that we live in a ‘multi-screen’ culture hence the controller design. I played ZombiU at PAX and it was promising (even though the controls could use a little loving!) so we’ll have to wait and see. I sometimes wonder if we’ll find ourselves in a PC/Phone/Tablet future, honestly.”

A few Wii U-related comments from Firebrand creative director Peter Shea can be found below. He provides his Wii U impressions – and says the studio’s multiplatform title is running “just fine” on the console – notes how Nintendo shouldn’t be underestimated, and more.

Olympic Gold Medalist Gabrielle Douglas Kicks Off Star-Studded Campaign Featuring Glee’s Dianna Agron and Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland to Show How You Don’t Have to Be a Gamer to Enjoy Games on Nintendo 3DS Hand-Held

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Consumers in the United States will soon see some famous faces talking about their love for the wide array of games and entertainment options available on Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL hand-held systems. On Oct. 1, Nintendo of America will launch a new campaign called “Play As You Are,” designed to show how all kinds of women and young girls can explore their interests and express their individuality using the portable Nintendo 3DS – whether they consider themselves gamers or not. TV stars Dianna Agron (of Fox’s Glee), Sarah Hyland (of ABC’s Modern Family) and Olympic medal-winning gymnast Gabrielle Douglas are teaming up with Nintendo to showcase how games for Nintendo 3DS provide female players with fun, creative ways to challenge themselves and share what makes them unique.

Each of the three celebrities participating in the “Play As You Are” campaign will show how games for Nintendo 3DS engage their respective interests and personalities:

Nnooo has been one of Nintendo’s strongest digital supporters. The studio produced Pop for WiiWare as soon as the service went live, and has also released a number of DSiWare downloads.

Unsurprisingly, Nnooo has confirmed that it is making a game for the Wii U eShop. It’s in the concept phase, but creative director Nic Watt and business director Bruce Thomson were willing to share a few vague tidbits about its new project.

Head past the break for details.

Firebrand Games is working on a multiplatform title that will be coming to Wii U.

I could be wrong here, but I would think that the studio would be working on Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. Criterion is busy working on the PS3/360/PC/Vita versions, so assuming the racer is also coming to Wii U, EA probably asked Firebrand to make the Wii U edition.

Activision confirmed Goldfinger as the final movie-inspired mission in 007 Legends today.

In 007 Legends, the Goldfinger mission finds the best undercover agent early in his career investigating Auric Goldfinger – a gold magnate thought to be behind a recent spike in gold prices – only to discover a larger plot to irradiate the entire Fort Knox gold reserve.

In order to thwart the plot, Bond takes action to infiltrate Goldfinger’s headquarters with help from a questionable acquaintance – Pussy Galore. Upon arrival at Fort Knox, 007 is tasked with defusing a nuclear bomb before it detonates, and the only thing standing between Bond and the bomb is Goldfinger’s henchman – Oddjob – and his notoriously deadly hat. Will Bond be able to defeat Oddjob? Will Goldfinger’s evil plans succeed?

The other playable missions are Die Another Day, Moonraker, Licence to Kill and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
