2K Sports announced MLB 2K13 a short while ago. But the company is mixing things up in a rather big way.
MLB 2K13 will only land on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Unlike last year, there isn’t anything in the works for the Wii or DS. There isn’t a Wii U edition either.
No baseball on Nintendo platforms this year, then.
Vicarious Visions removed Crash Bandicoot photo from Facebook

Following the commotion surrounding a possible Crash Bandicoot redesign found through Facebook, Vicarious Visions has removed the original photo from its page.
This does seem to imply that something is going on with Crash Bandicoot. If nothing was in the works, why remove the photo? Some have speculated that the new design has something to do with Skylanders – mainly due to the pedestal Crash is standing on in the image.
Pokemon Company on why there isn’t a Wii U version of Pokemon X/Y, lack of console Pokemon

In an interview with Game Informer, Pokemon Company director of consumer marketing J.C. Smith commented on why there isn’t a Wii U version of Pokemon X/Y.
Admittedly, the response is predictable. Smith mentioned that Game Freak tends to prefer portables as a result of the communication and trading aspects, and because you can take them with you.
“I can’t speak to the specifics, but traditionally Game Freak has always loved the game to be on a portable device because of the communication, trading, and the experience of taking this adventure with you. That’s why they’ve always prioritized a portable version of the game first. They’ve always liked what you can do in the real world with that.”
Speaking more broadly, Smith discussed the lack of real Pokemon titles on console:
“It comes down to what the creators want to do. Every time I’ve heard them talk about it, it’s been about the portable experience, taking the adventure with you, being able to share it with friends, communicate, trade, battle – really encouraging that interaction.”

Iwata comments on lack of regular Nintendo Direct at the end of December

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata briefly took over the company’s Japanese Twitter account earlier this morning. In a message to fans, Iwata commented on the lack of a regular Nintendo Direct at the end of December.
The explanation is simple. It all came down to the fact that Nintendo didn’t have time to prepare materials for a broadcast. The timing wasn’t there to make it happen as well.
Nintendo does like to stream broadcasts regularly, so I’m sure it won’t be long before another presentation pops up.

THQ’s franchises to be auctioned on January 22 individually

The latest twist in the THQ saga has resulted in a set date in which the company’s assets will be auctioned off. This will be taking place on January 22.
As previously mentioned, Warner Bros. is one of a few publishers that could get involved. You can throw EA into the mix as well, and perhaps Ubisoft, too. Different companies may choose to purchase individual THQ franchises/games.
Pokemon Direct will be ten minutes long

Tomorrow’s Pokemon Direct, which will feature a big announcement of some sort, will be ten minutes of long. That should be plenty of time for an announcement and video from Nintendo president Satoru Iwata.
Any final guesses, guys? New generation Pokemon title? Anyone hoping this will be a Wii U title?
