Despite never making it stateside on DS, MapleStory‘s 3DS iteration will be heading to Korea in April, with a pretty decent boxart to boot! No word on whether this 3DS version of the popular MMO will be coming out of Asia and into the west, but we’ll keep you posted if we hear anything.

“Nintendo’s been great to work with, everyone there. Dan Adelman’s a champ and works incredibly hard to help Indies and deserves a lot of recognition, and on the European side, Christian, Oliver and Pepe were just as supportive, to name a few. The pleasant experience working with them on a personal level is the primary reason why I’ll continue to make games for Nintendo platforms.”

– Vblank’s Brian Provinciano

Gah, the more I hear about this game’s development process the more I feel like I want to pick it up just to support what this guy’s all about. It doesn’t seem like a bad game either– the problem is that it’s only on WiiWare, so eShop points cards won’t apply to it! If the game comes out on Wii U or 3DS I’d be sure to pick it up– as I think a lot of you new Wii U owners would as well!

Care for access to the soundtracks behind Shin’en’s “Nano” games? Then you may wish to hand over a few bucks for what the studio is calling “Nano Assault Collection”.

For just $1, you’ll receive the Nano Assault EX and Nano Assault Neo soundtracks. For $5, Shin’en will also provide the Nanostray HD Sessions. And for $10, you’ll obtain all of the aforementioned soundtracks plus Nanostray and Nanostray 2 original soundtracks. Fans can plop down as much as $50 to support Shin’en, though doing so isn’t necessary.

You can find more information here.

Square Enix has trademarked “President’s Day”… whatever that is. The company picked up the name in Europe.

We probably won’t be getting an immediate answer as to what the trademark is about, but Siliconera speculates that it could be the subtitle of a Eidos project. A partial name for a new Legacy of Kain, maybe.
