No Retro City Rampage for Australia due to high costs, says dev

VBlank Entertainment says that getting a game rated for a new region is expensive, takes a lot of time, and is overall out of reach for them at this point. Because of that, their retro-fitted, retro-homage, retro-everything downloadable game Retro City Rampage will NOT be going to Australia, despite widespread critical acclaim for the XBLA and PSN release stateside.
Even still, the game will be coming to WiiWare later this year. Maybe, just maybe if it sells well enough they’ll reconsider in the future? Wii U perhaps?

Whoa, that is some BEAUTIFUL box/CD art!
I hope you guys weren’t hoping to get your hands on this, because by the time I found the link (pun) it was already sold out! Still, it’s worth watching and checking up on. It’s an awfully cool venture, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we see a second run and digital distribution options in the future.

Large majority of Rayman Legends levels comprised of pure platforming
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
In Rayman Legends, most players will spend 80% of their single-player gameplay on pure platforming levels. That’s according to lead game designer Emile Morel.
The other fifth? You’ll be using Murfy to get past touch screen levels.
It’s important to note that these levels are optional. So if you hate Murfy, you won’t have to experience his stages.
One other note: you’ll be able to upload scores to an online leaderboards for every single level in Rayman Legends.
