Square Enix officially announced The World Ends with You: Solo Remix a couple of days ago. For fans of the series, the news came as a bit of a disappointment since there were high hopes for a brand new entry rather than a port/remake.

Director Tatsuya Kando was interviewed by Famitsu this week and apologized to those who have been waiting for “new developments” regarding The World Ends with You. He also teased that there are “a variety of other things” in the works.

He said:

“For those who were waiting for new developments for TWEWY, sorry to have kept you waiting. Solo Remix is a game with such a high level of completion that you won’t feel that it’s a port. If you play it and post Tweets to Twitter, the world will expand even further. We’re working on a variety of other things, but first please enjoy Solo Remix.”

So… does that mean we can expect a brand new The World Ends with You title in the future? Nah… let’s not go there – best not to create any hype!

Here’s one Wii announcement that could be made during tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct!

Famitsu has revealed that Taiko no Tatsujin Super Deluxe Edition is coming to Japan. It will offer roughly 100 songs, 30 mini-games, and features collaborations from the likes of Dragon Quest, Doraemon, and Hatsune Miku.

Taiko no Tatsujin Super Deluxe Edition arrives in Japan on November 29 for 5,040 yen.

As long as your format your SDXC card to FAT32, it should be able to work with a 3DS unit.

That’s a heck of a lot of storage though… even 64GB would seem like enough! Although, now that retail games are starting to show up on the eShop, maybe using a large SD card isn’t such a bad idea.
