This handheld odyssey transports players to the spirit world of Sissel, a murder victim who has lost his memory and returns as a ghost to solve the mystery of his suspicious demise.

We’ve gotten a few goodies from previous Nintendo keynotes at GDC, including this image…

Hopefully Iwata will have some 3DS/Wii news this year!

Organizers have revealed that Satoru Iwata, President of Nintendo, will keynote the 2011 Game Developers Conference, held this March in San Francisco.

Coinciding with the 25th iteration of GDC, the world’s largest professionals only video game event for learning, networking, and inspiration, Nintendo’s Iwata will present a major keynote around this milestone entitled “Video Games Turn 25: A Historical Perspective and Vision for the Future.”

According to a Nintendo of Japan customer service representative, the 3DS will be region-locked. This means that if you import a Japanese system and attempt to play a North American game, it simply will not work.

As disappointing as the news is, I don’t think this should be a big surprise to anyone. After the DSi implemented region locking, there really was no going back. Nintendo has yet to officially comment on the issue, but I’d say this rumor is very likely.
