New Super Mario Bros. Wii has reached a significant milestone this month in Japan. Based on data aggregated from Famitsu/Enterbrain, the title is now the best-selling console title since Super Mario Bros. The game has surpassed the likes of Dragon Quest VIII, Wii Fit, Wii Sports and even Dragon Quest VII. To date, New Super Mario Bros. Wii has sold 3,894,356 units in Japan.

The pictures above “The Stars of Famicom Games.” The book is actually quite old, but there are some neat things to be seen. There are a few images of Shigeru Miyamoto (as well as Koji Kondo) in his early years, a picture of Takashi Tezuka’s desk which includes SEGA Mega Drive games, and shots of how Famicom cartridges were created.
