Until January 31st next year, Club Nintendo Europe is giving out a free downloadable copy of New Style Boutique whenever you register a European version of the Nintendo 3DS XL. I mean you could claim a copy of Super Mario 3D Land, New Art Academy, Freakyforms Deluxe or Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask instead, but I’m not sure why you’d want to.

At the moment the promotion is only valid for residents of the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal and the Netherlands. You’ll also need to redeem your download code before January 31st.

Endgame Studios has confirmed a demo for Fractured Soul, which will be released on December 6. Players will be able to try out the first four levels of the game.

A European/Australian date hasn’t been confirmed for the game or demo as of yet, but they’re in the pipeline for both continents.

In other Fractured Soul news, an update is in the works. This will make level 8 “a little easier”, according to Endgame managing director Grant Davies.

“We’re also working on submitting an update for the game to make the infamous level 8 a little easier – by adding checkpoints. It’s no secret that Fractured Soul is a damn hard platformer … probably a little too hard. Hopefully this will smooth out the difficulty curve somewhat.”

Looks like Europe and Australia are getting another 3DS eShop Picross game. The OFLC rated Picross e2 a few days back, meaning it should be available sometime soon.

Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for Jupiter’s first Picross 3DS eShop game here in North America. Fix that, Jupiter!

Shin’en has been saying for awhile now that it wants to get Nano Assault EX out this year. That’s still the plan, according to a message posted on the studio’s Twitter account.

The company posted the following when asked about the status of Nano Assault EX:

“Nano Assault EX should be available on the eShop in a few weeks, hopefully still in 2012.”
