Test drive select Nintendo 3DS games before you buy

18thJanuary 2012 – Free demos of selected Nintendo 3DS™ games are available to download from the Nintendo eShop – kicking off tomorrow with both Resident Evil™ Revelations and Cooking Mama 4.

Developed by Capcom® specifically to take advantage of the Nintendo 3DS features, Resident Evil Revelations delivers a true return to classic Resident Evil™ survival horror gameplay. The full game launches across Europe on 27th January, but if you fancy at getting your hands on, and test driving this ultimate horror experience before it hits the stores then head over to the Nintendo eShop tomorrow to download the Nintendo 3DS demo.

Hey, Nintendo of America didn’t forget about us after all! A Resident Evil: Revelations demo is coming tomorrow, followed by Mario & Sonic, and other titles including Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D and Rayman Origins.

Resident Evil Revelations Demo Available Tomorrow

REDMOND, Wash., Jan. 18, 2012 – Nintendo 3DS™ owners soon will be able to play free downloadable demo versions of select games. Starting tomorrow, owners can go to the Nintendo eShop to download a free demo version of Resident Evil® Revelations from Capcom. A free demo version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games™ published by SEGA will launch on Jan. 26. The Nintendo eShop will be periodically updated with new game demos.

“The demo program allows Nintendo 3DS players to be among the first to test-drive select games,” said Tony Elison, Nintendo of America’s senior director and general manager of Network Business. “Players can try out new genres or series, often weeks before the full versions are available in stores.”


A second Theatryhtm Final Fantasy eShop demo is heading to Japan.

Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura shared the news with Famitsu. Nomura didn’t announce a specific day for its release, but it should arrive soon as the game is due out in less than a month.

Kingdom Hearts games are known for their secret endings. The latest game in the series, Dream Drop Distance, will continue the tradition.

Director Tetsuya Nomura told Famitsu that Kingdom Hearts 3D’s secret ending will shock players. He also said that it relates to the next title in the series.

Dream Drop Distance has a normal ending as well. Nomura described it as being atypical.
