The Pokemon Company is back with yet another Japanese Pokemon Sun/Moon trailer. This time, we have a video specifically for the real-life Z-Ring and Z-Moves. Watch it below.

Koei Tecmo released a new set of Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death today. Find them in the gallery below.

Today’s screenshots cover two aspects of the new Attack on Titan game: exploration and bonds.

The goal is to escape from the basement of an old castle where the player falls after an attack from the titans. Players will explore the castle with other team members, but there are dangers lurking in the form of traps and titans. The reason why the player has to explore the castle is because the 3D Maneuver Gear broke down during the accident so flight is impossible.

Other than obtaining items, there are also quests, where player needs to pick the correct choice within a limited time. If the quest fails, relationships with characters may fall, or it might even lead to a bad ending.

Players can strengthen bonds with characters by choosing the correct actions and words. Even guarded characters may eventually open up their unexpected other side once the bonds are strong enough. However, bonds may also loosen/weaken if the wrong choices are made. There are graphic effects on the character to show the change in bonds. When positive, the character has an energetic blue aura. But if going negative, there will be a depressing purple aura instead.

The Switch rumors don’t stop coming today, and it’s another major one, this time from Eurogamer. The outlet claims that, according to multiple sources, a mainline Pokemon game is currently being developed by Game Freak for the Switch under the codename “Pokemon Stars”. As the name implies, it is supposedly the “third version” to Pokemon Sun & Moon, like Yellow was to Red & Blue, Platinum was to Diamond & Pearl and so on. The game is “already well in development”, according to Eurogamer, and will launch in 2017. The target release date is apparently late 2017, though it was initially planned as a Summer release. This would be the first ever mainline Pokemon game to be playable on a home console – and the first time that games in a single generation of Pokemon will span multiple consoles.

According to Eurogamer, the Pokemon Sun & Moon initial reveal trailer might have already shown footage of this supposed Switch version – the  model of Pikipek shown there is apparently from Pokemon Stars:

The October 2016 report is now fully available, but it’s pretty quiet on the Nintendo front. No Wii U or 3DS titles were among the top ten best-selling games of the month.

On the bright side, the 3DS itself saw another uptick in the United States. Analyst Sam Naji says the handheld saw its fifth straight month of year-on-year growth. Pokemon and Monster Hunter Generations are thought to have been two catalysts.

Naji said:

“The 3DS experienced its fifth straight month of year-on-year growth. Both unit sales and consumer spending for October grew 12 percent as average pricing was flat year on year. It is likely that continued consumer interest in the Pokémon franchise and Monster Hunter: Generations has driven this growth.”
