Famitsu has published a listing of the best-selling games in Japan for the month of July. The sales comes from Enterbrain data taken between June 25 through July 29.

Here’s the list in full:

01. [NDS] Pokemon Black/White 2 – 855,502 / 2,474,123
02. [3DS] New Super Mario Bros. 2 – 430,185 / NEW
03. [WII] Kirby’s Dream Collection – 131,720 / NEW
04. [3DS] Etrian Odyssey IV – 121,401 / NEW
05. [PS3] Persona 4 Arena – 117,318 / NEW
06. [3DS] Taiko no Tatsujin: Chibi Dragon to Fushigina Orb – 116,867 / NEW

This is definitely one of the stranger games Nintendo has published…

NES Open Tournament Golf will be hitting the Japanese eShop as a Famicom download on August 15 for 500 yen (Nintendo’s site actually says August 10, but that’s can’t be right…) Screenshots of the game can be found above.

You may have seen the video above split into two Japanese clips awhile back. It’s now available in one long trailer, and more importantly, it’s in English.

Nintendo has gone ahead and confirmed that the Wii U boxarts we’ve been seeing are real. You probably figured that at this point, but it wasn’t until today that the Big N actually confirmed the design.

Here’s what will happen with Nintendo’s own Wii U  boxarts going forward:

“[First party] boxes will appear shortly w/ placeholder logos, and then ultimately with the final artwork for each game.”

So now that the Wii U boxarts are final, what do you think? It’s a change from Wii, but the design is sort of comparable to the GameCube cover.
