Stardew Valley creator against overloading the game with content, but doesn’t want to close the book definitively

NPR recently caught up with Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone, who addressed the game’s future.
There are two sides to the coin here. First, Barone acknowledged that he has some caution as overloading the game with too much content, which could be “detrimental”. But even if he decides to end support at some point, he doesn’t want to definitively close the book – “even 50 years from now,” he said.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake February 2025 update announced, patch notes

Koei Tecmo announced a fairly substantial update for Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake this week. It’s unclear when exactly it’s going live, but the company is planning it for February.
A number of feature expansions and adjustments are planned. These are related to voices, settings, AI in combat, loading times, and more. Plus, there’s a bunch of fixes coming.

Mario Kart 9 has been officially teased for Nintendo Switch 2, and we presumably won’t hear much about it until the full Nintendo Direct presentation on April 2. In the initial footage, a whopping 24 racer slots were shown on the track. That’s double the amount of racers per match in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. And with more drivers than ever present on the field all at once, Mario Kart 9 (which isn’t the game’s official name yet – it could wind up being Mario Kart 10 if we count Mario Kart Tour) needs more characters than ever to match. A while back, we talked about all sorts of crucial features Mario Kart 9 needs to succeed – but this time, we’re honing in on all the characters we want to see, no matter how obscure.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD 100% completion checklist

Donkey Kong games are notoriously difficult to 100 percent complete. In terms of fellow Nintendo Switch games, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is tough as nails if you’re going for full completion. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD follows this trend – there are tons of collectibles to find, over 80 levels to complete, a time attack mode that takes way too long to load, and an unlockable Mirror Mode that makes everything even more challenging.
