Anarkade

Blowfish Studios and Pixelatom have announced that they’re soon releasing Anarkade on Switch. The game is scheduled for release on September 23, 2024.

Anarkade, a multiplayer arena shooter with pixel art graphics and platforming elements, has players battling it out with various weapons. Both local matches and online multiplayer are supported.

Rise of the Triad Ludicrous Edition 30th Anniversary Edition

Limited Run Games shared details about its plans for the Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition physical release on Switch. This was first confirmed during LRG3 2023 just over a year ago.

Both a standard version and 30th Anniversary Edition are in the works. With the latter, you’ll get the game, a poster, pins, and the soundtrack in a commemorative lunchbox.

Volgarr the Viking II trailer

Thanks to Digital Eclipse and Crazy Viking Studios, the launch trailer for Volgarr the Viking II is now available. The long-awaited sequel arrives today on various platforms, including Switch.

Dead by Daylight Castlevania

May 14: Dead by Daylight is still going strong, and brand new Chapters were today revealed based on Dungeons & Dragons and Castlevania. 

The Dungeons & Dragons Chapter is first up on June 3. Castlevania will follow this summer. Additionally, a 2V8 Mode is planned.

Sunsoft is Back Retro Game Selection English west

Sunsoft is Back: Retro Game Selection, which was previously announced for Switch in Japan, is now confirmed for English release in the west as well. It’ll come to North America and Europe on September 6, 2024.

Sunsoft is Back: Retro Game Selection includes Firework Thrower Kantaro’s 53 Stations of the Tokaido, The Wing of Madoola, and Ripple Island. Various features are also included such as save states, rewind, and Gallery Mode.

River City Girls 2 Double Dragon

April 25: WayForward isn’t done with River City Girls 2 as the studio just announced new DLC for the game which adds Billy and Jimmy Lee from Double Dragon. Both characters are arriving this summer.

Kiyo

Today, publisher CobraTekku Games and developer Pixel Rats announced that they’re putting Kiyo on Switch. The project is planned to release in 2025.

Stumble Guys release date

The Switch version of Stumble Guys secured a release date today, and it’s coming very soon. An eShop listing pins it down for August 20, 2024.

Stumble Guys was originally announced for Switch back in February. No release window was provided at the time.
