Yasunori Mitsuda is the lead composer on Xenoblade Chronicles 2. On his personal Facebook page this week, he provided a status update on the music.
Recording for Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s music appears to be pretty much complete. It was worked on by 150 people (note: in case this isn’t clear, this is just the musicians), the largest production Mitsuda has been involved with. The mixing process for music began this week.

Project manager says Sonic Mania physical edition is something SEGA “would love to do”
Posted on 8 years ago by Zack in Switch | 4 Comments
It looks like SEGA is considering releasing a physical edition for Sonic Mania, according to SEGA Product Manager Jim Dyer. While it’s not confirmed yet, the positive feedback received at SXSW for the idea seems to have helped sway SEGA towards a physical release.
From an interview on Twinfinite.com, Dyer had this to say on the possibility of a physical version of Sonic Mania:
“We would love to do one. We want the community to know that we are listening, and at SXSW they suggested a lot of interest in us following through with a physical release. But we’re also aware that audience approves of anything Sonic related, so while we are listening and it is something we’d like to do, at this stage we are going to see how it goes.”
As Sonic Mania is releasing on the Switch as well, this would obviously mean that Switch owners would be able to get their hands on a physical release as well. Only time will tell at this point.

Still Games told one fan on Facebook that they’re fans of the console, and porting it over is a “goal”. There’s definitely no talk about a potential release window at this time, but we’ll keep an eye out for news going forward.

Old Time Hockey targeted for release this fall on Switch
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 0 comments
Old Time Hockey’s initial release took place at the end of last month. Unfortunately, the Switch version is quite a ways off.
On the latest Fragments of Silicon podcast, V7 Entertainment’s Mike Torillo indicated that Old Time Hockey will be coming to Switch this fall. The team has only done “super preliminary work” thus far, but updates will be posted on social media.
V7 currently intends to carry out an initial port. The studio will then follow up by looking into potential Switch-specific features. Nintendo has apparently shown interest in seeing what the team could do differently on their system.
You can listen to the full podcast and interview with Torillo after the break.

Choice Provisions had Runner3 running on Switch in a day
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 2 Comments
Many studios have come forward noting just how easy it is to develop for Switch. You can add Choice Provisions to that pile as well.
Speaking with Autopress, Choice Provisions said that the team had Runner3 running on Switch in just a single day. Since then, “it’s been smooth sailing”.
“We were nervous at first about developing for the Switch, simply because there are always unknowns with new platforms. We ended up getting the game running on the console in only a day, however, and it’s been smooth sailing ever since!”
Runner3 will be out on Switch later this year as an exclusive.
