Splatoon 3 Brinewater Springs

Splatoon 3 is adding a ton of new content in just a couple of weeks as part of the Chill Season 2022, and one of the new pieces of content it’ll bring about is the Brinewater Springs stage. Over on Twitter, Nintendo provided a closer look at the level.

Nintendo said on social media that the stage is “hilly and packed with hot springs.” Players can choose to defend the high ground or attempt to invade from below. Of course, all of the little touches you’d expect from a Nintendo game are here, including a little jellyfish who’s just hanging out by a fountain.

Fire Emblem Engage Boucheron

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems highlighted the latest character for Fire Emblem Engage today, this time introducing Boucheron. Details and clips were posted on Twitter, and Serenes Forest has provided a translation.

Boucheron, who is voiced by Toru Sakurai in the Japanese version is a palace knight from the Kingdom of Firene. He’s a polite and kind young man who was born with a good physique and is highly tolerant of others.

Earlier this year, ININ Games announced that Hidden Through Time, which originally released on Switch eShop back in March 2020 and has since been expanded upon with multiple DLC, would be getting a physical release on Switch as Hidden Through Time: Definitive Edition, and would include all of its DLC. For European countries this is now available to purchase from their website, and the publisher have shared a launch trailer to commemorate the occasion.

The latest UK software sales are in for the week ending November 12, 2022, and we have a bit of information concerning a few notable Switch releases.

Sonic Frontiers debuted at No.4 on the charts, outselling 2017’s Sonic Forces opening week performance by roughly 5 percent. The Switch version comprised 34% of its boxed sales in its first week, trailing the PS5 version which made up 40% of those sales. In other news, a handful of older Switch titles saw a noticeable increase in sales this week, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Nintendo Switch Sports, Splatoon 3, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and the Switch version of Minecraft all benefitting from a slight rise in sales.

Space Ducks: The Great Escape gameplay

Space Ducks: The Great Escape appeared on Switch just a few days ago, and if you’re interested in getting a closer look, you can check out new gameplay. Ten minutes of footage has emerged.

Further information about the title can be found in the following overview:

ARMS update 5.4.1

Nintendo has started distribution of a small update for another Switch game, and we can now mention that ARMS players can download version 5.4.1.

The official patch notes mimic what we saw today with Splatoon 2, Super Mario Maker 2, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons (see here, here, and here respectively). Once again, Nintendo simply states that “several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.” Although we don’t have any other information, all of the games that were updated tonight were likely done so for the same reason.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons update 2.0.6

Nintendo has been a bit update crazy with a few different Switch games tonight, and the pattern continues with Animal Crossing: New Horizons moving up to version 2.0.6.

If you’ve kept up with our posts about Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Maker 2 (here and here respectively), you probably know what to expect here. Nintendo says of today’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons update: “Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.”

Super Mario Maker 2 update 3.0.2

The 2019 Switch game Super Mario Maker 2 has been given a new version 3.0.2 update. All players can download it now.

Like the new update that just went out for Splatoon 2, the patch notes for Super Mario Maker 2 are keeping things simple. Nintendo only states: “Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.” The fact that a couple of Nintendo’s older titles were updated at the same time suggests that something more is going on here, but the Big N doesn’t want to elaborate.

Splatoon 2 update 5.5.1

A new version 5.5.1 update has just gone live for Splatoon 2 – though it’s admittedly not very exciting. According to Nintendo’s patch notes, “several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.”

While it’s far from massive, it’s nonetheless the first update for Splatoon in over a year. The previous patch, version 5.5.0, included a ton of changes such as weapon adjustments. You can find more information about it here.

Orbital Bullet gameplay

Orbital Bullet just recently dropped on Switch, and we have a new round of gameplay. We have a closer look at the action platformer from Assemble Entertainment and SmokeStab.
