Mutant Mudds 3DS revenue tops all other platforms combined
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 0 comments
Mutant Mudds started out as a 3DS game, but it’s now out on a bunch of different platforms. In addition to Nintendo’s handheld, the game also landed on the Wii U, PS3, PS Vita, PC, and iOS.
Yet despite the many platforms Mutant Mudds can now be found on, 3DS remains the game’s top-performing platform. Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham said on Twitter last week that the studio has “made more revenue on 3DS than all other platforms combined”.
He wrote:
@tyronerodriguez @tha_rami @BertilHrberg @voldiway We've made more revenue on 3DS than all other platforms combined with Mudds. Viva eShop!

[Feature] Nintendo Everything’s 2013 Game of the Year Picks
Posted on 11 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in 3DS, Features, Wii U | 5 Comments
To make an argument against the thesis that 2013 was one of the all-time best years in gaming would be a foolhardy activity. The year saw the release of instant-classics like The Last of Us and Super Mario 3D World, as well as world-stoppers like Grand Theft Auto V and Pokémon X and Y— Zelda made a big comeback on 3DS alongside Fire Emblem, and after years of no news we finally saw the release of Pikmin 3 on Wii U. An intro paragraph like this– no matter how densely packed– could never do justice the year we’ve had, so let’s let the staff of NintendoEverything do it instead.
After the break, you’ll hear from Brian (site admin and boss man), Austin (podcast man and writer guy), Jack (podcast man and writer guy), Spencer (writer guy), Patrick (writer guy) and Scott (video guy) about what they all found to be their absolute favorite games of 2013. Consider this list primarily subjective.
Nintendo lists Inazuma Eleven for release in the US for Q1 2014
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 6 Comments
Inazuma Eleven may finally make its debut in the US, if a listing on Nintendo’s website is to be believed. An inclusion on the company’s release calender page includes a Q1 2014 launch for “Inazuma Eleven” without any further details.

Nintendo has yet to announce any of the Inazuma Eleven titles for North America. Could this listing be nothing more than an error?
If it is indeed legitimate, we’re hoping that Inazuma Eleven 1-2-3 will make its way over rather than simply the first game, as the former product bundles together the series’ first three releases.

WayForward cancelled “Pictionary Universe” for Wii U
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 2 Comments
WayForward was once working on a pictionary title for Wii U, according to the LinkedIn profile of gameplay engineer Brian Valdillez.
Valdillez mentions “Pictionary Universe” on his CV, which was on track for release in 2012. The game “implemented rudimentary functionality with recording and replay capabilities designed for uploading to Miiverse.”
Sadly, Pictionary Universe won’t be seeing the light of day. Valdillez lists the project as “cancelled” on his LinkedIn profile.

Senran Kagura dev working on “new and challenging” game for 2014
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
The next Senran Kagura game should be announced in just a matter of days. That’s not the only title series producer Kenichiro Takaki is working on, though.
Speaking to 4Gamer, Takai teased a brand new project that is said to be “new and challenging”. The unannounced title is planned for release this year in Japan.
Takai said:
“To start the new year, we’ll be announcing a lot of Senran Kagura news come January 8th, at the Senran Kagura Bakunyuu Hyper Presentation. We’ve kept you waiting a little longer for its release this time compared to the previous time, but I believe we’ll be able to reveal a great deal more [at the event]. In addition, we also have another title we’ll be releasing in 2014.”
“This title will be a new and challenging one, but things are going smoothly for now, so please look forward to it!. Please continue supporting the Senran Kagura series and Marvelous AQL this year as well!”

Tantalus Media is starting work on a “AAA next-gen title” sometime this month. The news comes from a job posting added to the studio’s website just a few weeks ago. While the listing doesn’t offer much in the way of details, Wii or Wii U development experience is mentioned as a desirable trait.
