Towards the end of last week, SimilarWeb published a new post investigating Pokemon GO installs on Android by country. Australia leads the way at 20 percent, followed by several European countries such as Germany, Portugal, and more. The United States is at 13.9 percent.
One territory worth spotlighting in particular is Japan. Just a few days after launch, Pokemon GO was already installed on 24 percent of Android devices. It’s ahead of Snapchat, WhatsApp, and KakaoTalk. Assuming Pokemon GO’s success continues, it may pass Facebook Messenger (33.5 percent) and Instagram (34 percent).

Pokemon GO dev confirms Eevee evolution trick, other Easter Eggs teased
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Mobile, News | 1 Comment
One Easter Egg Pokemon GO players have been unsure about is the method of making Eevee evolve through a particular trick. But at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 today, Niantic CEO John Hanke officially confirmed its existence.
If you haven’t heard of the trick previously, it amounts to naming Eevee in a certain way. To have Jolteon, you need to give it the nickname Sparky. Eevee can evolve into Vaporeon by naming it Rainer. Lastly, Flareon requires the name Pyro. Each one is a nod to the original Pokemon anime’s Eevee Brothers Rainer, Pyro, and Sparky.
