Europe’s top 15 downloads on the Switch eShop for August 2024

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for August 2024.
A couple of indies managed to make the list. Cat Quest III charted at #7 and Thank Goodness You’re Here is just one spot lower. As for the top seller, that goes to Mincraft.

Arcade-style twin stick shooter Go Mecha Ball coming to Switch

Super Rare Games and Whale Peak Games are working to bring Go Mecha Ball to Switch, the two sides announced today. A release is planned for September 26, 2024.
Go Mecha Ball is an asymmetric arcade-style twin stick shooter with roguelike progression. Players will tackle levels by using pinball-style physics mixed with an arsenal of devastating weapons while taking on waves of enemy bots and bosses.

Retro-style platformer Byte the Bullet out on Switch this month

Later this month, Byte the Bullet will land on Switch. JanduSoft announced today that it will publish the game on September 19, 2024.
Byte the Bullet is a retro-style platformer developed by Lion Ant Games. Players will go inside an infected computer and restore all of the systems impacted by viruses.

Roguelike action shooter DownFall hitting Switch next week

CFK has announced that DownFall, which is made by Rawhand Games, will be appearing on Switch next week. It’s planned for September 12, 2024.
DownFall is a roguelike action shooter. Players will fight back with style against endless waves of enemies in order to develop their character.

Cyberpunk Metroidvania game Altered Alma confirmed for Switch

Altered Alma, which recently took to Kickstarter where it surpassed its €40,000 funding goal, is now confirmed for Switch. Publisher Cinemax and developer 2Awesome Studio will look to launch the game in Q4 2025.
Altered Alma is a Metroidvania game with RPG elements. Players will take on the role of ex-mercenary Jack as they fight through the cyberpunk-style streets of Neo Barcelona, taking down ruthless gangsters and mechanical horrors.

Detective narrative game Mindcop heading to Switch

Dear Villagers today announced that it’s publishing Mindcop, a new game made by German solo developer Andre Gareis. The title launches for Switch in Q4 2024.
Mindcop is a detective narrative game. The non-linear “whodunnit” title blends a story driven adventure with investigation time management and also real-time puzzle mechanics.
