Tetris Forever update out today with Welltris, improvements, more

Tetris Forever is rolling out an update on Nintendo Switch today, and it’s a pretty big one as it includes Welltris as a new playable game and player-requested features.
Welltris (Spectrum Holobyte, MS-DOS) was the first follow-up to Tetris created by Alexey Pajitnov. According to Digital Eclipse, it’s “a beloved variant in which Tetriminos (and other shapes) fall down four sides of a well.”

DoDonPachi Saidaioujou heading to Nintendo Switch

December 4: Live Wire is set to publish DoDonPachi Saidaioujou on Nintendo Switch, the company revealed today. Only a release is confirmed for Japan, where it will launch on December 19, 2024.
DoDonPachi True Death, a bullet hell shoot ’em up game, originally came to the arcades as DoDonPachi SaiDaiOuJou in 2012 with a worldwide debut happening in 2020. An Xbox 360 version was also made available in 2013.
Garten of Banban 7 gets surprise Nintendo Switch release

Garten of Banban 7 is now available on Nintendo Switch with the game getting a surprise launch on the system today. Note that this is technically only for North America as of now – the European equivalent will follow soon.

December 12: SuperAuthenti has announced Catly, and it’s heading to Nintendo Switch. A release window has not yet been confirmed.

Tactical gambling RPG Dance of Cards coming to Nintendo Switch

Pineapple Works, together with GoodMorningMrFrog, announced today that Dance of Cards is seeing release on Nintendo Switch. The game arrives on January 23, 2025.
Dance of Cards is a tactical gambling RPG. The goal here is to try and survive seven days of a deadly cruise by playing poker.
All You Need is Help gains “12 Days of Christmas” update

In celebration of the holiday season, All You Need is Help just went live with a new “12 Days of Christmas” update.
The update features an advent calendar with new special items and gimmicks for 12 days straight. This limited time event runs between December 23, 2024 and January 4, 2025. Players can look forward to Christmas trees, giant balloons, fireworks, and more.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic confirms physical release on Nintendo Switch

Atari shared the news today that it will produce a physical release for RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic on Nintendo Switch. It will be available on April 25, 2025.
RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic just launched digitally earlier in the month. This one combines the best features from two of the original games in the series: RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2.

F-Zero 99 1.5.5 update out now, patch notes

F-Zero 99 has received a bunch of support throughout 2024, and one last 1.5.5 update for the year was just released.
Frozen Tour is back in action, and can be played until January 19, 2025. Players will compete in three-lap races for points as they aim for a high score. Gem Sparks can also be collected on Frozen Tour Event tracks to unlock special rewards.
